I was apologetic for being a better athlete than others. So I would back off. I have since balanced my goals. I have always done my best to be my best in life. I've also spent my whole series of careers in helping others to be their best. I wrote my book Be Wee With Bea to hopefully encourage many readers to believe in themselves. Your poem is very inspiring. The reader is invited to reflect on this topic in their lives. You may have awakened some people with this poem. Well written.

I enjoyed reading this free verse about enjoying competition. That's great when competition is used in a good way to do your best but not be consumed with comparing yourself to someone else. Thanks for sharing! Bill
