Thank you very much for the geography and culture lesson. It sounds as if the stork made the right decision making you a child of the world.

MJ,
What a beautiful adventure! I'm so glad you took us along with you. *smile* I feel like I was tucked, perhaps, in your pocket and peeking out to see some of the sights. hahaha
I did not understand what those golden stones were -- where were they and what did they represent?
Thanks! Sweet!

Sorry, I should have explained. If you google the Cotswolds, you'll see all the houses are made of yellow stone.
Thanks so much for reading. Hugs.

I know you've shared your love for England, I have friends here who've only been there once or twice, but feel a great attachment. Once upon a time Australians had a very firm attachment to England, calling her the, "the mother country" but the entry into the European Union took care of that. Well done Maria, I likewise have an attachment, but only because it is the land of my birth. Well done, blessings,
Roy

Your descriptions are so lovely, I've made my mind up to go there next year, calling into Bath on the way and make a date to meet Dorothy Farrell. And you, if you should come again in the summer. Hmm, thanks, Maria! We'll be coming to Spain early summer for about three weeks, not sure of the dates yet. I love your thoughts on the stork making a mistake, lol. A really lovely piece of writing. Well done. :)) Sandra xx

I come every summer and I hope to come this one as well, though I'm worried because my landlady is redecorating.
Do hope to see you there.
Are you coming to Madrid?

Ah - the Cotswold - would that we'd had more time to properly explore that beautiful area. We had to take a bus, as trains dont' run in those areas - but we saw such beautiful gardens - doors almost covered with blooms vines. So gorgeous.
Good job.

Maria, This is a very well written descriptive story about this place that seems almost like a fairy tale, but real people live there. It did sound picture perfect as I was reading this. You used very good descriptive words and very lovely imagery from the art work you used. love and blessings, Teri

I can tell through your superb writing that the Cotswolds is your ... Happy Place... I hope to one day see them for myself. Your story includes so much color, unique images, and your emotional response to this place that it is easy to see it is special. Well written, Maria.

I feel this way about Prince Edward Island, a sort of soul connection. My husband loves it like I do, which is nice. But, God puts us where He desires and sometimes allows us to venture past our boundaries and enjoy another world. Well written, Maria. I hope you're able to visit Bourton often.
Sending you my best today as always,

This was indeed very descriptive of the area, Maria, but also of the sites that drew your attention. The Japanese family, the tombstones, the shops. It felt like I was there walking beside you. Very well done.

Hello Maria. This is one of the better descriptive narratives I've read in a while. Your descriptive terms outstanding, notwithstanding the "silvery snake." I also like the sentence, "I eat my fish and chips absent-mindedly." I could eat fish and chips for every meal except breakfast. (I love it with the malt vinegar) this is an excellent piece. I enjoyed reading it. Robert
