That is how I remember Halloween. Where I live in California, parents take their children to stores, malls, libraries and amusement parks to celebrate Halloween.
Well written poem. Great visual imagery created. Creative. Good C-G-T alliterations. They all work nicely together. Excellent work.

A scary write as Halloween opens the doorways to ghouls and unknown paths. The children in my street are always accompanied by their parents thank goodness, there is real evil about, I enjoyed your innocent words, love Dolly x

For sure parents do not allow kids to go just anywhere these days. We used to go all over town. But now it's only to known neighborhoods that parents allow - or take kids to a doings at the church. Which is what we're having at our church - and twill be much fun.

You have used visual imagery to pair the childish excitement of the trick-or-treaters with the concerns of parents for the children on Halloween night. The choice of "ghouls" describes perfectly the perceptions of parents in today's society!

This one is great fun... Not sure why parents are guarding the ghouls though... I'd be guarding the kids. Mind, some kids might be ferocious to poor old ghouls.
