You did an excellent job responding to the prompt. "Tapped the
keys of the website' is such a nice phrase. I have one suggestion: that, in the last lines of the second stanza, you remove the comma after "kindly" and replace it after "honest." I'm guessing you'll do well in the contest; what could be more clever than this?

You said so much of what I would say myself. I wrote a column for three newspapers and front page feature stories for a major city monthly paper for nearly 20 years. I get more feedback in a day from Fanstory than I ever did writing professionally! I've only been here four months and I'm already making friends!

You have expressed my sentiments exactly. I feel so lucky to have stumbled on FanStory myself. I wonder why I didn't find it earlier. I guess I found it when I needed it most, about the time that I became an empty nester. Your poem is honest and heartfelt. I am very glad that I read it.
The only things that I would change:
In the descriptive line it should be "writer's."
And in the line--Where friends you're sure meet--I think that I would say
"you'll sure meet."
Otherwise, I would not change a thing. Great job.
