Another entertaining chapter, LisaMay. Be careful. He might try to feather his nest at your expense before joining his alien friends.

Your author notes paint a bleak picture. Sad that such amazing birds could fall victim to habitat change.

Looking forward to no 12.

Blessings Julia

Thanks Julia. Loss of habitat is affecting so many species - even us humans; we're doing it to ourselves!

"Sometimes he gets his feathers ruffled and flies off the handle at me." LOL!

Another fun poem about animal boyfriends. You found a really cute picture for this one. :)

That bird looks a real sweetie, but I have it on good authority they can be grumpy little schemers. (I would be too, without freedom and unable to see my friends.)

Well, let's see. When they are kept as a pet, they tend to be lonely. Instead of getting just one, you really should invest in a pair- of-ots so they aren't so lonely. I know they aren't cheep, but I would be sad if I had to live to almost 100 years without someone on my own species to talk to. That would make me as mad as a wet hen! And since they live a long life,
arrangements should be made ahead of time for somone else to adopt them when the original owners die. This way there would be no trauma to them being re-homed because the new future owners can already be acquainted with them. This could be a beak-in (beacon) in the dark for that poor birdie in the future.

    Thanks for your review.
You would make a very responsible parrot owner, Patty.

Laughed out loud at the last sentence. And also noticed the general description after that and laughed again. Interesting author notes. It sounds like the grey parrot is the kind of pet that needs more parrots with it. That way, the parrots can plan to have fun activities like a talon show. (That's all I could think of at 11:30 at night.) Fun share yet again! On a roll!

Ha ha ha, you described this bird perfectly and I enjoyed your clever play on words, especially when he becomes a birden! Much enjoyed Lisa, love Dolly x

    Thanks for reviewing, Dolly.
Birds are messy - better that they fly free.
