This is a very well written sonnet about sealed fate. You used very good words that told the story of why the fate was sealed because of a kiss to the best friend and obsessed behavior. Very good job my friend. love and blessings, Teri

Dolly,

OOooohhh... I like this! I like stories where the girl doesn't let the guy run or determine the story of HER life. *smile* I completely get loving a guy to the maximum - to the ends of the earth. But you gotta love yourself first. And if a guy doesn't appreciate all you've got to give, and if he doesn't appreciate it - then you shouldn't be with him in the first place. This was great. Thanks!

And good riddance. Seeing him kiss the narrator's best friend would have been the last straw. This gal has the right attitude. She isn't going to waste time mourning over this guy. I'm glad her self-confidence has managed to survive. Great work with your sonnet form. judi

It's never worth continuing a relationship with someone who does not honor and value loyalty and faithfulness. I agree with the poet that it's best to "rejoice in finding someone new!"

Hi Dolly. An interesting poem. I think we may not know what love is, but we sure as heck know what love isn't. Nicely written and illustrated. Marilyn

Relief in the knowing! No more agonizing over what might be happening. I wonder how many have lived out these words. I doubt that few affairs are truly a surprise out of the blue. They are often the results of years of distance in a relationship.

Hey Dolly. That's a really nice poem about love and betrayal. It's sad that one has been betrayed by another but sometimes it is even sadder when the one that has been betrayed doesn't realize it. The last sentence in the sonnet shows the acknowledgment of the betrayal. Robert

Dear Dolly, another sad sonnet, but the waywardness of the lover didn't seem to faze you, and it was his fault, "love had flown so many years ago," and he is the one who sealed the fate of the two of you. Love, Donna
