-Very nice artwork
and presentation, Sally.
-The syllable count and
form are very good, as
well as the topic.
-I like the imagery
in the opening lines,
and the message in the poem.
-It is good to have a
"safe place from the storm."
-Thanks for sharing.

Thank you, Helen. I?m glad you enjoyed my Nonet for the ninth. I originally started this to challenge myself to perfect this poetry form, as it is my favorite. I?m still working on it, but I enjoy it so much and I?m pleased that you enjoyed my spiritual offering. Sending you my best today as always.

Thank you Sally. I still see the halo hovering over your head. :) The best thing about it is that it's not removable. I like your Nonet, for Jesus Christ is the sanctuary of security from the Storm. We must never forget who is our Lord. He is Love. :) Thank you for sharing.

Comment from Liz O'Neill
I am immediately drawn in as I am sure the reader will be by the imagery in this line: "hewn-rock walls," One barely notices this is a nonet poem. Even with the syllable count requirements, this is a smooth-flowing powerful message. This contains a strong note of hope for all. It becomes a universal poem. Well written.

Thank you very much, dear Liz. I don?t know if you?ve ever read any of my poetry, but I?ve not been writing poetry for very long. The Nonet and Duotrain are my favorite styles. I?m so pleased you stopped by.
Sending you my best today as always,
Sally xo

This nonet is a splendid expression of your faith, and well complemented by your choice of illustration. Yes, not even the strongest physical fortress is a guarantee of safety. We must trust the invisible hand on our shoulder. Superb.

Thank you very much for the excellent review and kind comments, dear Joan. This Nonet is a challenge I have set forth for myself as I am a new poet. The Nonet is my favorite style, and I challenge myself every ninth day of the month, at least once a month, to post on FanStory. It is not in a contest, it?s just for me to learn, and to hopefully perfect as best I can. I encourage you to join in on the 9th, 19th or the 29th of the month. I?m so pleased you enjoyed my faith-inspired poem.
Sending you my best today as always,
Sally xo

I admire your discipline to post every ninth day on FanStory to perfect your craft. I post every Friday, since the timing is right for me. I used to post more often but could not keep up with reviews in a timely fashion. Thank you for your encouragement and best wishes- Joan

Beautifully done! You've said it all. One of my favorite hymns is "A Mighty Fortress Is Our God" by Martin Luther. Your poem is reminiscent of that hymn.
