It shows much bravery to go on a balloon ride when you are afraid of heights. But since it gave such a feeling of peace then maybe the fear will be broken. It seems to bring you awe of the beauty below that you don't recognize as fully when you are on the ground.

My husband finally persuaded me to go up in one a few years back. I was surprised at how peaceful and soothing it was to float above the tree tops. The beauty overcame my nervousness! Thanks for reading and reviewing.

I will keep trying to go up in one. I tried last summer and got cancelled 3 times because of weather.

I watched a video on facebook last night about an annual hot air balloon event in Albukirkie, New Mexico. (Darn if I know how to spell that place. Spell check isn't helping me either - sorry!) There were many shaped balloons and characters. It was colorful and lovely. Wish I could go there some day to watch from the ground. I don't do heights. I'm a big chicken.
So, I enjoyed this poem tremendously. I like the cascade poetry form. You did it all so well.

Going up in a balloon is no problem a controlled descent is a must.
