Your poem makes a trip on an air balloon sound very appealing and your artwork is gorgeous.
However, I think I'd die of fright up there. I only travel by plane to be able to go abroad, but I hate every minute.

This is a lovely description of hot air ballooning! As I read your poem, I could feel the wind, the almost nausea in the tummy as we ascended, and the peacefulness that surrounded us in the basket. Your visual imagery is beautiful. I especially like the lines "the collision of autumnal colors,
fading away from the clutch of summer". Makes me want to go up in a balloon again! Thanks for reviving that memory.

This brought back memories of the Fifth Dimension and their hit song Up, Up and Away in my beautiful balloon. Something I've always wanted to do and if I do I will definitely celebrate with champagne! Nice uplifting poem.
