While I don't have a rocking chair, I can relate quite well to the sentiments of this lovely posting. I do feed the squirrels twice daily and enjoy watching their antics from the window of my kitchen. The fresh air and peaceful beauty of trees and flowers are becoming more appreciated each day. I'm so glad you chose to write about them. :-)

Nice poem and good accompanying art work. In the line about the sun's "peak" through treetops, did you mean "peek" - altho I guess either word could work in that instance.

I see a great rhyme scheme going on here. I like the way Sun is personified. This seems like it would be a happy poem to read on a rainy day. Here is a great phrase: shadow limbs to look like lace
There is 'L' alliteration 4 times there!
There is much going on besides sitting in a rocking chair, that is for sure! Nice post. NO idea what to fix.
