Such comforting words are rare when the onset of Winter signals, but really so true and rather calming.

I rather enjoyed your poem. It's fun to see where you've gone with it. The reader gets the sense of being there and feeling the oncoming growth and change of the tree's life. I like to hear about the chipmunks as well. :)

I've always felt a reverence for trees. To me, they are the stoic guardians and observers. A huge oak looms over my house. It is more than special to me.

Being one close to nature and a retired horticulturist, I loved reading your poem. I could easily picture the tree and see the shine on its leaves, showing how healthy it is.

I love trees and how they change with the seasons. . .especially fall when they are multicolored. God's palate new how to give the gift of color and teach us all to appreciate. Good luck with this poem. Well-written.

I love walking under the trees in the fall. The squirrels and chipmunks rustle the leaves and make themselves easy to find. It's funny if I come too close and they scold. Not looking forward to the snow, tho. Good luck in the contest.
