What a very cool offering that' loaded with children's games some which I had completely forgotten about!! ;) Thanx so much for sparking all those long-forgotten memories! ;)

Only an Aussie would probably know about Botany Bay. I loved these kid's games when I was young. They all seemed to be written here, in fine free verse that rings of nostalgia and the pathos of passing time. Beautifully written in rainbow language of memories of yesteryear. Well done, blessings, Roy

Wow! What a wonderful litany of children's games. This poem could become a whole book with illustrations.

Excellent work. I suppose you did a lot of research.

Blessings Julia

I think you actually got into a child's head here! I have been writing a children's book and I don't think I quite got down to their level like you did here, much enjoyed, love Dolly x

what a variety of children's games this poem talks about. Love many of them. Button, button who's got the button would be a favorite among many children. Love your poem because it gives me some idea to what I might play with children.

I love the energy in this, dashing from one to the other - such a list! The random rhyming is terrific, giving a nice bouncy feel. I know a lot of these games, but have missed out on playing many of them. What fun to be had as a child - yet so many of these games will never be played as the kids will be inside staring at their devices.
Are you an Aussie? - I see Botany Bay there, and spuds, and many games we played as kids when I lived in Canberra 50-60 years ago.
