I think this last stanza totally sums everything up beautifully both for the story and for life in general:
"There are many reasons why there are changes in the Seasons.'
"But why are Human Beings so complicated?"
"And why can't we just get along?"
"Don't we all dance to the same old song?"

I liked your poem just that I think you wrote a little bit of everything. You need to maintain the focus of the poem. But, in general its good. I liked how you did some of the rhyming.

You might appreciate this. The great Rabbi of Alexandria, Hillel the Elder, was once challenged to explain Torah. He responded, "that which is repugnant to you, don't do to others, the rest is commentary." Strong imagery and emotion in your word choice and rhymes.
