Seriously, you are not heading for another try at suicide are you? You can't give up with the little time that we have here on earth anyway. You know that we all pass through this lifetime so why rush the end of now? There is meds that will stop this low down thinking, give them a try. won't you?

Interesting use of metaphor at the end with riding the next chariot - calls Elijah to mind for me. This is well penned and emotionally stirring as are all of your posts. Well done and thank you very much for sharing it.

This is one of your better poems/writings, my friend. I am glad you keep presenting info on organ donation as it is so much needed. I can't be an organ donor because of my health, but will donate my body for research/science~Debbie

We all try to live up to his calling, and some of us are doing this better than other. I like the ending of your poem is full of hope :" I'm going to hitch a ride in the next Chariot and head on my way/because life for Me? well it's become more than just another day." Thank you for sharing and good luck with your stories.

So sorry about your son. Organ donations are a great way to help people live. I'm sure if your son donated, he lives on. If he was your only son, that is sad enough.

    At Age Eighteen?
They don't realize that Death could be around the corner.
    We of course decided.

Your poem is soberinh and dramatic of impending death. The cadence seems right.

My conservative side sees the message of conditional salvation. It's as if you're in suspense whether you'll be accepted by Divinity.

Toward the last stanza, you cite your gooness. That imlies self righteousness, which directly conflicts with Divine Grace.

Perhaps, I've misread this ; correct me if I'm wrong.
You indicate some humility. Therefore, a positive attitude toward God seems to clash in conditional salvation. Conditional means uncertainty, and hoping personal good, or virtue, will stack up to equal or overcome the negative.

Though conservative in background, I'm actually progressive. My assurance of Heaven is my discipleship granted me, that I harmonize with Godliness.

Sometimes we have to let go of our love ones so others can life on. It is a selfless act of love for others. So great a story as life goes on.

Yeah, okay. Hey, just knuckle under, huh! Don't fight back. Don't go to the damned spot where your son was (gunned down) hit and killed. Just play it as if it's all okay. Everything cool, yeah. sit in the bar and take a drink and try to bury that anger about what happened. Hey, shit, it's all figured out, programmed. Has NOTHING to do with you and your will and your feelings and your agonized love which is nothing like anything I have sen before. Get over it! But, it seems you can't. What, there's a crossroads, a kid, a smashed up bike, a dead body, Hey, dream into that doctor. I have been there. I was hit from behind on the top of the Berkeley Hill in Berkeley California by a hit and run driver and left for dead. I was not dead and I doubt your son is dead and...if he is to you I think you should get him back! Now.

Best

After the brain dead, Jason asked if any hope left for him, he had been a good son of his father, his life is pure, so he thinks the day like another day; not worried about death; well said, well done.
