Ahh, I can almost smell that apple pie. I haven't had a piece of some good old hot apple pie for so long. I love apple crumble too. I don't know if you eat that in your neck of the woods.
This was such a pleasure to read with its alluring rhyme and beautiful picture of enticing apples. Fantastic and a great entry for the competition. Best of luck! ~DD

Thank you, DD. Are you kidding me, I love apple crumble. Yes, we eat that in this neck of the woods. Thank you again for the wonderful review and kind comments. Thinking of you today along with apple pie (or anything apple) for dessert. I better get cracking . . . .

Yum. I wish I could try the pie. It sounds delicious and to smell it cooking. I bet it's amazing. I make pecan pie every once in awhile. That's good too. Great job

LOVE THIS SALLY!! Yummy apple pie! What could be better ( reminds me I need to get to the orchard) Now, we just need a little warm caramel sauce and a nice big scoop of icecream :-)

Good for you! :) I regret being out of sixes. This is a bit different coming from you and again, I LOVE IT. I love apples, not so much on the pie, but glad you won! I swear, you could take any topic and turn it into a well written piece of work! Hugs to you! I have decided that writing must be your sixth sense.

Thank you, dear Wendy. I?ve had such sweet feedback on this poem and contest entry. I so pleased you enjoyed it. I love fall and apples. I hope to go on a road trip and get some fresh-picked apples soon for that pie. Okay, pies . . . .

This is a lovely entry into the contest about a walk and a picture. Nicely composed and with a rewarding ending. No one will ever be thankful for my baking, however, my mother was an expert when it came to pie baking. Best of luck in the contest. Marilyn

This makes everyone hungry. I adore apples and think if I were ever a farmer, this would be my crop. I?ve picked a lot of fresh, delicious apples in my life and enjoyed writing this one. Thanks so much for the lovely review.

Yummy! There's nothing quite like fresh apples - how lovely to be able to pick them right off the tree. And, of course, baked in a pie is perfection personified. I enjoyed reading this, Sally, but have one complaint. Now I'm dying for an apple, haha. Hugs, Lou

Your poem has me wanting an apple pie!! Nothing more delicious than fresh, homegrown fruit. I really liked the second and third stanzas...flowed off the tongue. Good rhyming scheme. Love the photo!

Awe, Sally this is just so lovely. I loved the imagery of the now ripe apples and I could just as well have been there. It's a lovely entry for the contest and I wish you good luck. Warm regards. Ulla xxx

So you picked a peck of juicy apples, Sally. They are good for the body and the soul. As the saying goes, "An apple a day keeps the doctor away." :) They are delicious... well, most of them. This is a good entry for the Take a Walk Poetry contest.
