When you are up against the elements, all these things mean so much! I dare say some myths grew over time, but also the rich spiritual combination of nature in life took on some truthful meanings for these native Americans, culture that is remembered here, well said, much enjoyed, love Dolly x

Hi again Jim. You certainly have been active of late. LOL I took a week off and missed quite a bit of ail but managed to catch up on some things like your writes in the last few days. This Lune is very original-sounding and I enjoyed the theme. I wish you good luck in the contest. : ) Bob

A very well-written Lune poem about the creation and native nature that we must respect and honor every aspect of the universe and nature.

Nice poem - and aptly illustrated by that beautiful image you chose. There is so much to enjoy and talk about in nature. The color of flowers - the different kinds of bushes and trees - the colors on animals, frogs, and birds. So very much.

Great artwork to illustrate your lune poem! Yes, the Native Americans have given us much to appreciate in their connection to nature. The first line of your poem also brings to mind other ancient peoples including the Greeks and Romans.

-The syllable count is good,
as well as the topic.

the various elements that
make up the earth,
and share their importance
to our Native Americans.

Thanks for bringing up this theme, we seemed lost without spiritual guidance. Your poem says it loud:"Sun, moon, stars, fire, wind
not just one
but all and much more." Good luck with the contest

I'm reading 'Dances With Wolves' this summer. Your poem fit in perfectly to my mood today. The native Americans seemed to appreciate our land on the simplest yet deepest levels. A beautifully penned and illustrated short style poem.
Sending you my best today as always, Sal :+)

This is a lovely short poem which meets the format requirements. It has an American Indian theme. We are reminded of how these earliest settlers respected all aspects of nature. Well done.
