I like this little adventure that you've served up for us here. The bored lad has discovered a rare find. It will be very interesting to see what hatches out of the eggs. I hope that nobody goes to the house that was suppose to be inhabited by a witch. Perhaps a witch may show up. You've got me interested! Oh! How I do enjoy dragon stories, and yours is no exception! So pleased I happened upon your delightful story this afternoon. It flows well, shows creativity, and leaves the reader wondering about all those eggs!
If I were to offer one suggestion it would be to edit the following sentence: An egg, laid by a creature long believed to have been driven from the world, a forest dragon.

No, that it was not. That was SamuelFrench? What I was thinking of was the ducling eeg that turned into a beautiful swan. Nothing to do with a dragon, of cours, but a similar thought. Ulla:)))

This is an exciting start to the book. I always love it when the reader is thrown in at the deep end! This is only the second time I have setout to read a book as it grows, so I am really looking forwards to the experience.
My eggs would contain dragons of the size and colour of countries: green great Welsh ones (that are impossible) and small blue Scottish ones to start with. I would also have one that never learned how to breathe fire, and another that breathed flames of many different colours according to the different chemical elements (I have a deep, long-ago memory that Bariumflames are blue).

Thanks. I hope you will stay tuned and enjoy the story. The dragons will be all sizes and colors. Some correspond with the elements earth, air, fire, and water. I like the idea of countries, perhaps a huge protective Chinese dragon.

Since you have ideas for half of the eggs, perhaps you could develop the rest into either the female counterpart (since you need male and female to carry on the line) or some could be twins.
