This was a clever poem and I especially liked the picture. While you say it's a poem for kids and that much is true, I am sure that most adults would also enjoy it.

I enjoyed reading this very much and I had no idea all these names are for the same animal. Did you intend for the final line to read as a whisper? Sometimes computers are guilty of glitches, but if it was meant to be a whisper, I got it! I hope to read more of your weird wacky writings.

You should write more for children. There are hundreds of different animals that could be of interest to the young readers. I liked this muchly, well written, smiling at the patter you offered. I can write, can gnu?

I have been writing for children for 20 years - have had stories and poems published in kid's magazines, still trying for a picture book - had two offers from a British publishing company but they wanted me to go halves on the cost which was several thousand dollars and I just couldn't swing it, so am still submitting to traditional publishers with hopes. Have written poems about lots of animals and birds and am now trying to put the collection together to submit. Thank you for your encouragement!! and a BIG thanks for the 6!!!! Bless your heart!!

Have to smile at "gritty subject". I like to think that God has a sense of humor which He has shown when He made the ostrich, giraffe, road runner, sloth, wombat, the gnu and other sort of odd creatures.

Somehow I feel like this sentence is incomplete.
I think the gnu did what?
Or perhaps it was a pun and you meant:
I think they "gnu?"
