Simply beautiful in its entirety. There is no advice to give about perfection. The poem is spot on with rhyme, rhythm, gentle flow. The artwork chosen is perfect. Fantastic work!

Thank you Wendy! I am humbled by this sincere review! Originally l created it with the last verse being a chorus but I think it worked out better just making that into the last verse instead! I?m so glad that you enjoyed it! xoxo

Lovely and six worthy. I apologize for I seem to be out already. I noticed blood on the young woman and she looked as though she has been saved from a wild animal. Romantic still as I loved to be rescued. A sweet and romantic one. Looks like a winner!
Sending you my best today as always, dear Diana.

No worry, we never get enough "6"'s. I'm so glad you enjoyed! This is one I pulled off my shelf that I wrote back in my earlier years! So happy to have this site to bring some of these to light! :) xoxo

Me, too. I am doing that right now, writing and storing while I still have a shred of eyesight. I suppose that is always the wise thing to do.
Sending you my best today! XO

:( hoping you have that shred for a long time still. xoxo

What touches me about this poem is that it is a reminder that it is not enough to stand silently in support. Sometimes we must step forward and sincerely declare our desire to be a true friend in fair weather and foul...

This is a goodie I pulled off my top shelf from my late 20s. I?m so happy to have a site where I can start bringing some of these things to light now! Appreciate you always being so supportive! xoxo

Isn't it amazing to go back to those oldie but goodies? I have scads of notebooks from age eleven on...we're both so lucky we kept them!--Karenina

Oh yeah, i kind of gave up in the late 80's. didn't seem there was any real avenue, so obviously now I know why! haha!

When I read and commented on this I saved it to my bookcase, but was not sure it actually got to you with the rating I gave. Just to be sure hear is what I said:

This was such a beautiful poem and you did such a terrific job of writing it. It was very heartfelt and so touching. These are the poems you need to continue writing more of, trust me you are so good at it. I need to bookcase this one for sure.

Thank you very much! I do love to write this style of poetry. Simple, but deep. Someone here wrote a poem about writing for the common man and sometimes, I think that the most impactive ones are the ones that really touch a heart, not just the mind! Appreciate you supportive comment! xoxo and your delicious "6"

It is always a pleasure to review your work. O course the ones you write that have just 3 lines or so, mainly for contests... there is just not that much to write about and way less for what Fanstory really would like you to say.

Yes, I agree and it can be hard to review those shorter ones for sure! appreciate you took time to read this one. :)

Again you are welcome, the pleasure was all mine, keep writing the ones like I read today. Will that be in your book you are working on or not?

I really need to take the time to read more of your work. I am sure I will find more to love and bookcase. When cold winds blow and Please go away are the two I have book cased so far both excellent works.

Awesome! They are both poems that have been hidden in my shelf for many years. I feel so blessed to finally have a place to bring them to light! xoxo

Yes absolutely will be in the book. I?m going to have sections for free verse, rhyme and then the other types that I have created since on this site!

This is a beautiful poem of love, true friendship and always being there when needed. It would be great if everyone had a friend like this wouldn't it. Well done. Most romantic. =} Rox

Yes, it sure would be! I try to be that friend, but that doesn't mean that the other person feels the same. that's the sad part about love. :) thanks for checking this one out! xoxox

This profound dedication and invocation of love to someone deeply
loved, reminds and reassures loved one, that though time and favor
may not be theirs for their love to be trothed in vows at this time,
the promise of abiding friendship, empathy, trust and perseverance
may yet prevail the desired anticipations or commitments.
The provocative last line, 'how warm my arms are when cold
winds blow' attests to the depth and scope of her love, no matter
the adverse circumsances or unknowns, hers will always be there
for him. Fantastic write for this contest, and perfect pic capture.

Thanks for sharing, best of luck in contest!

Always, Ronni

This is a little something I wrote back in my late 20's. It was written originally as a lyrical song with the last verse being the chorus, but I like it also as a simple poem. Thank you for you always uplifting, "want-to-make-me-write-more" kind reviews!! You are truly appreciated. xoxoxo

Hello Diana,

This is so terribly romantic isn't it? I love the rhymes as well as they were easily read and understood. The piece has depth and great ending even though it has the potential to be very sad indeed. Good luck. I loved it!

This is one I pulled from my writings back in my late 20s. I wrote much simpler verse back then. But since love never really changes, I thought it still a good choice for this contest. I am soooo happy that you liked it! It was once in a lyrical format with the last verse being the chorus, but I like it much better this way! I appreciate always your encouraging comments! xoxo

I get the sense that this love poem implies that the lovers are separated or anticipates that possibility so that there is the risk of pain (cold winds blow) in nurturing this love. Best wishes in the contest.

This is romantic and sweet in its message about love and always being there when the need is great to have someone close who understands perfectly the person you are and the situation you're in. It's a wonderful painting, as well.

A very well-written rhyming poem about the cold winds can come to blow before we reached our goal. We must make use of every chance we have to live our life to the fullest extend, circumstances can change in a few seconds.
