Very nice indeed. I like the poem and the illustration. Unfortunately, few of us can bury our "to-do" lists. Best of luck in the contest with this nice entry. Marilyn

Your lovely poem makes effective use of all syllables to describe the effects of summer. The contest rules call for three stanzas. I looked to be sure.

UGH! Another reader mentioned that-- I totally missed the mark.
I'm working on adding to it, but not sure .
Thank you for noticing:)

A very well-written 3-6-9 poem about the great summer weather when we just want to relax and enjoy the sun, water and sand. All chores are left for a rainy day.

Yeah, I've buried many a To Do list in the sand or the park or just driving down 5. That's what summer is for I think. I liked it, it meets the contest requirements. Good luck.

This is a cute little poem, that manages in a very few words to capture the essence of the relaxation aspect of the summer. I hope it obtains a good reult in the contest.

Such a wonderful 'smileworthy' write especially with that pic! ;) Your poem, however, does not meet the contest requirements as the entry should have three stanzas of 3-6-9. ;( ;( Please let me know when/if you decide to correct and i would be happy to re-review. :) Good luck! ;)

This is a cute little poem which well meets the contest requirements in terms of meter. How true it is. The picture adds something. I especially liked the second line. Thanks for sharing.
