No, generation after generation does this, don't they? Rejection their parents wisdom, pushing for change - and then realizing how wise they were, often after they are gone. I'm blessed to be at the stage where my grandchildren still think I know everything.

Wonderful thoughts here! We all do regret not spending enough time with our elders to learn from them. Life gets so busy and with our peers we are swept up by needs of raising families and providing for their needs. Sometimes, it's not the lack of right values just not enough time.

Thanks lyenochka, and you're right, it is the lack of time really, which is more the pity. The world moves too fast for young people, but at least with advancing age, one starts slowing down and is able to stop and smell the roses. Just wish other things didn't happen - like saggy tummies, wrinkles, belching in public...lol!
