Ah, yes worth a six Liz. A lovely echo of Bea being scared and nothing to be scared of. Fearful for Scruffles and Sweet Puppy and to find they were safe. The maker of ideas as always helps her overcome. Love Anne

I seem to see a lot of shiny objects on this site. I wrote something then clicked off...sound familiar??? Now what I previously wrote: What a pleasant surprise. Thank you for your six stars and for your lovely review. The mystery is much closer to being solved.

As always, am thrilled to see Bea venture forth! I know you posted your last episode, which didn't read, sorry. The "walking on water" is very intriguing. The beasts can do it too, and, sometimes, we don't even know when! Keep on going! Am taking a respite from fanstory, cause am not sure it is helping me. Need an editor & publisher from all that have produced in last 2 & half years. Hoping to see what happens, & good luck to your ventures!

Since you are not going to be able to follow up on the story and have shown a kind interest I will tell you the **spoiler** creature is the mist distortion of a momma bear and her puppies some large and some smaller. One was in a puppy mill and as a result lost her back leg. These are all dogs I shared with my partner. So now you know. Maybe you've outgrown this site. I wish you well. Maybe you'll come back.

Yay! I liked the " water-splashing dance of joy." And I also liked how Bea overcame her fears by focusing on her friends and continuing forth for them. Seems like that Maker held her up for her act of faith!

A wonderful chapter to your story, Liz. We are left wondering what DID keep wee bear from sinking into the swamp. As always your writing is clear and interesting, well described, and charming. I particularly like paragraph 4. Great job. Marilyn

I've read a couple of your previous posts in this series. This one is more subdued in tone than I remember the others were. I'm assuming it's a narrative pause before another bout of action {smiles}.

Here are a few points you might like to consider:

There were no burdocks to dodge only a swamp to navigate. -- If this was mine, I'd insert a comma after "to dodge".

I do like the name "Sweet Puppy"; it's laden with sentiment {smiles}.

she felt like fifty bees were buzzing inside her -- Nice simile {smiles}.

heir water-splashing dance of joy. -- Ha, ha {smiles}.

Thank you for your supportive review. Those dastardly commas, thank you for the heads-up.

This is as sweet as it gets. I am so much like Bea. I have to exercise my brain every day! Sweet puppy and Scruffles are wonderful side kicks and friends. Such a scary swamp, it's good to have friends along. A good word picture for life. Sometimes, I feel like Bea, up to my neck in it all.
One small suggestion. I would capitalize 'Maker.'
Sending you my best today along with six stars. Superb.

Sometimes we fear having to do something we'd rather no have to and later on we find out it wasn't as bad as we thought and everything turned out okay.

Hooray for water-splashing dances of joy -- they are the bestest!! ;) :) This is such a wonderful chapter, Liz, complete with Bea's self-satisfaction in her bravery!! ;) :) I wanted to point out that you have an acknowledgement for a picture, but there is no pic....? Thank you so very much for sharing Bea and company once again!! ;) :) Yvette

Thank you for the enthusiastic review and for the head-up about no picture. I wonder where it went. It's a good one too. I, like Bea & company will have to go on a hunt.
