That was a beautiful poem to commemorate the passing of Dean Kuch. He was a nice person, and you are much nicer for being so thoughtful. Lovely work. God bless :)

Thank you for the blessings and God bless you too! I am very thankful that people will still get an opportunity to read this. I wasn't expecting more reviews, but I know that he is always in my thoughts and even more when I am working in FS. He was a fantastic writer/poet and person all the way around. There isn't anyone who didn't like Dean. I appreciate your kind words and I am grateful for your review. I will try to share with his daughter when we make contact again. Cheers, Fonda

Oh Kudos and love my new friend and fine poetess! I did not know Dean nearly as well as you but I agree with your wonderful respectful and loving poem AND your comments. He was a giant in terms of heart and interest in the craft and in the lives of others. He enjoyed the macabre but had a deep and solid Christian foundation that any thorough reader of his works could not have missed... I know when I first arrived he was one of the first to message me--give me a bit of advice and "background"--let me know he was there and available with regard to poetry...and life. I was struck at once with how this tech wizard with the keen sense of humor was at once so very real and warm and vital to the spirit of a writer... I had never seen a photo of him. This is a gift you've offered, with Chelsea's kind permission. I can now envision him as he was "behind the screen"--and I do still miss him! He was the multifaceted stone tossed into the kindest pond and his work and heart have sent ripples far beyond what he'd imagine... That is will now be included in "his" book warms my heart. My very best to you and my heartfelt thanks for shining your gifted writing and light on him!--Karenina

Thank you so much for your beautiful words. I have shared with Chelsea because I thought your words were very touching and she needed to hear them and continues to need to have their reach and the ability to connect that her father provided. Especially now that he is not physically in front of her during her most special of times. You are a magnificent writer yourself! I thank you for the friendship and the kind and wonderful review. I feel very honored for these stars. Cheers, Fonda

I am SO glad you shared with Chelsea! Please let me know (if it's not violating her privacy)--when she gives birth! I so wish Dean was here for that!--Karenina

This is a great tribute. Dean was a good friend to me. When I asked for help creating some effects for a post he didn't just write to me, he sent me his phone number and talked me through the process.

Dean was a one of a kind - an artist with words - brilliant and put his poetry out there so it sang and danced before you - I felt as if he were in the major league of poets and I was still in grade school learning the alphabet - he was that good - It was a delight to see him here thrive with his talent - anywhere you looked in horror he could be found - the night he died it was a vicious storm here in Baltimore that thundered and rocked my entire house and poured rain so hard like never before - hard to explain but when I got the news the next day of his death it just happened to be the exact time of his passing - anyone here upon fanstory that knew Dean had to know he was simply the best hands down - awards may be given by the site for this and that but this guy truly was in a league of his own - my opinion of course and I've been around enough to know good writing when I see it - Dean brother may your soul rest in peace - and may your poetry rock on forever - it was a pleasure to know and share the little bit of time with you here that I got - when the world's collided that night and the skies sounded like cannons thundering through the darkness - I feel it was your way of saying good bye - Im most certain Edgar was there to greet you and hopefully guide you on the path that you sought .... Fonda what a great writing for a dear friend of yours and to us all - Dean was fanstory its what its supposed to be - an artist to find his way and stand out amongst others - and he did this in a most extraordinary way ! .... signed your friend Ron

Thank you Ron for sharing your admiration and story - I know it is what initially drew me to read your very first post back. I?m glad we?re friends too. Maybe for Halloween you will find his spirit to help you offer something special as I know Dean enjoyed your work as well. Fonda

It's nice to hear you feel so strongly about the work, encouragement, and help that Dean gave to you - and many others. It's a fine tribute. and should (as you say) be reflected in many things that you write form now on. Even emulated poems that are dedicated to Dean would be good

Well I wish I had the chops to emulate an inkling of what it was he did in poems. I will do my best with kindness as I move forward in FS and that is the best that I can promise. I will remind other of his quotes. And some lessons that he passed along, but I dare to say his talent was one of a kind. Thank you for this review Ms. Denham for my friend.

It would be good if some of you who knew him - would use a few quotes now and then from his work - that's an ultimate honor too.

Yes I do and have. And will continue to do so. I wrote something in May. When I help people in PM or in a review I do use his voice to offer the extra endorsement and kindness.

Your tribute to Dean is very touching! I cannot claim to know him or even if he was ill. My only knowledge was in reading some of his posts and admiring the flair he had for the written word. Obviously he was eloquent in his portrayals and his intercommunication with FanStory members. The kudos written about him are deep and endless. If this is part of a book about him, then I certainly hope I will eventually know when it is published and partake in the lore of Dean Kuch (Cook)

Hi Ms. Lowcock, Eloquent yes, the book will be given to his family we do this for relatives of members that pass. It is our way of showing the love to the family. His daughter especially will get a formal copy. I did this in the time that I could (late) because his passing hit me hard, as we were friends and I?ve struggled with my own health and have been trying to keep up when I can in FS. But he has already published work and as a collaboration with many other writers his work is in a book called ?Tales of Horror on Halloween Night? by Sammie Sands. His story is called ?Fried Frieda: A Campfire Tale?. Please if you get a chance to buy the book it has many great stories, but for Dean?s alone, it is worth the purchase! He published under Kuch. Also if we do anything further, I will keep you informed. If you want to get to know more about him and when I have some time, I will follow up with you a bit more in a message.

What a wonderful tribute that you have written to Dean. Although I never actually met him in person I admired him so much as a writer and as a person. Such a sad loss to us all. Take care. Jen.
