You know what I am going to say - right - VIRTUAL SIX - of course, and I see why it won. A beautiful poem Judi! I think that when I read this I could see the cloud lifted a little. It was something really poignant that I needed to read at the exact moment. Congratulations for the win and it is a beautiful poem.

Thanks for the compassionate review. Sometimes, the best we can do is just be close by. Gentle friends. Cheers for the phantom six and your encouraging words, j

J - I guess I am reviewing you and someone else that has a similar name - sorry if I called you Judi - also boy have you been busy writing and winning stuff - I have a 3-5-3 to wait till Sat to get my 6's back cause I am going to hold one for that - it won I know but it is stunning! Also, I have so much backlog to read of everyone's but you are on fire! Your love and support is amazing! And again I apologize if I am confusing you with Judiverse - you both were in my messages all mixed together - LOL

Grief has many causes. I used to run a program for the homeless. Going into shelters, I found people in pain who experienced being abused, abandoned, victimized, wounded, and disparaged. A true friend can change the downward path of someone in a desperate situation. This is a short posting with a lot of heart.

Thanks for the compassionate review and sparkly stars. How wonderful to help the homeless with their overlooked, hidden emotional problems.
Yes, just having a gentle friend nearby can ease any pain.
Wishing you a lucky day, cheers.

I really can relate to this poem, having spent much time recently sitting by a friend in pain. The Speaker is correct in saying sometimes there are no words. Nicely conveyed in three short stanzas.

Thanks for the review. You can certainly relate and you are the gentle friend. Sometimes saying nothing is best. I wish both you and your friend, peace love and clarity. Cheers.

Excellent. Sometimes really paying attention and listening to someone
express their problems can do wonders. The problem, maybe just having
someone to hear what is causing the worries.

This reads very much like a Hallmark card but, if I were to receive such a card during a time of mourning, I would be very grateful. The compassion expressed sounds genuine, and I would be pleased to have such a kind and caring friend on whom to lean. As you've shown, sometimes "short and sweet" is the best way to get your point across. Good luck in the contest.
