Love how you laid this whole bit out. The poetry is lovely as well as the font. Creative and eye catching. Great overall effect! (and I do so love jade!) Great job!

Thank you so much! Jade is a fantastic stone! I love all gemstones. Colors, colors, colors. Sparkly or polished-each has its own unique beauty. I?m just sorry I couldn?t get them all in this! LoL! So happy you enjoyed it! xoxo

I love, love, love your poems, and just like the other ones, this poem was also great. I also liked how you used a Latin word, and not a English word for opal. Another thing I liked was how you made your words colorful, in the second stanza. Very pretty. The last thing I liked, is that you wrote everything with a perfect syllable count. Good luck in the contest.

What a beautiful poem. I like how you present the gems with colors that match their characteristics. I'm sitting here trying to pick my favorite stanza. Of course I am partial to the stone that I like which is jade. I probably like the words of your opalus though. I like the painter's palette line.
Good luck in the contest. This is a gorgeous entry.

Thank you Debbie! I love gemstones and make jewelry sets from the tumbled polished stones. I don?t make so many these days as I used to, though. A few of my other favorites are labradorite and lapis and of course all of the flavors of crystals and topazes. I could go on and on... LoL!!! So glad you could appreciate the effort and thanks for your support. xoxo

Lapis is another of my favorites. My favorite pieces of jewelry are lapis and jade. They are the only two pieces of jewelry that I have and like.

Well done, you! The images and the different colored lines in your poem are very effective! (I had to go look up the recipe for this 3-6-9, because I'm slow like that sometime...)---And yes! Three stanzas, first lines in all three are three syllables, second lines are six and third lines are nine! Perfectly done! I think gems should bring $100 prize, don't you? (smile)--Karenina

You deliver the three stanzas all cohesively connected through the theme of gem stones. The syllable counts in the first two stanzas is spot on, you are a syllable over in the third stanza (see below). Good luck in the judging and thank you very much for sharing it.
NOTE:
Pri-sm has two syllables because it has two nuclei. A nucleus is a sound that is at the heart of a syllable. In this case, the "m" sound is at the heart of a syllable, even though it is not considered a vowel. We linguists call this "syllabic m".

Nature's hidden treasures that lover would be happy with -- Chinese jade, luxuriously polished beautiful stone or opal, precious mystical colourful stone or rare diamond reflects rainbow hues; well said, well done.
