I came to this site recently so I never had the privilege of meeting Dean through his works, but there have been so many tributes all touching on a different aspect, as this one does, that I am sure he was worth knowing.

Being new to Fanstory, this poem made me smile. I'm guessing it's easy to breeze through reviews and tap that calculator to add up new points. I gave a person a 4 star ranking and she wrote back, not why, but what can I do to make it better. I very much appreciated that question. It seems to me that we as writers need be willing to read and see what may not stroke our egos. Still it is those honest comments that make us better writers. When we get the sincere (to me that means honest and thoughtful) reviews, we can feel better with a four star rating than a insincere five star rating. That said, your honest words are a five star in my book. Thank you for the poem.

I would have to agree. I've only been a member a short time, but he made an impact on me and encouraged me greatly. I just couldn't get into reading horror stories, so I feel like I missed on a great talent.

AMEN! We need a few more like him on the site. This meets the contest requirements splendidly as you deliver a technically sound 3 Line Poem. The content is inspiring for those of us who received his reviews were always encouraged and provided with constructive feedback. He treated each piece equally regardless of how much it paid out always giving each write his full focus. Good luck in the judging and thank you very much for sharing it.
