Thank you so much for another lovely review, my friend. The final part is coming any day now, and you'll find out what it is about the Medicine Man that was such a surprise for Eric. :)) Sandra xx

What a very mysterious answer from the medicine man, who must have looked decidedly like an Indian, and strange that he had learned English from Eric sometime ago. But I suppose with time travel all things are possible, with time to God, like a single tapestry laid out before Him. But then that's another story, well done Sandra, fantastic story, blessings, Roy

You will soon see what it is about the Medicine Man, Roy, lol, and then you will completely understand. The final part will be out this week. Thank you so much, dear friend, for all you wonderful support. You've been brilliant. Big hugs. :)) Sandra xx

Dear Sandra,

I am enjoying this story a lot. You write well and draw the reader in. It is a different type of Science Fiction writing than the usual. Most contain violence but yours is quite lighthearted. Even the Indians are not so bad!
Looking forward to reading more.

Regards,

Winslow

Thank you so much for this lovely review, Winslow, and the golden stars! I have one last chapter coming up this week, which will finish this adventure. This is the second story I've written for my grandson, he's dyslexic and is hoping to be able to read these stories himself very soon. He'll be off on another adventure soon, Ancient Egypt! :)) I'm delighted you find the story lighthearted, I want it to appeal to all children. Thanks again! :) Sandra xx

Hello Sandra,
Another excellent tale in the time traveling adventures of Eric and Herbie.

A wonderful idea that the Indians thought Ellie and her beautiful voice was a gift from the Great Spirit. It gives a much more positive picture of the actions
of the native Americans.

An now you've changed history by introducing the word "awesome" into early American vocabulary. How un-awesome is that. Parents will never have another peaceful moment. LOL
I hope the Indians don't learn disco!
I guess a forgetting spell will have to be used.

I still think the medicine man is an alien. Maybe Drozig himself :)
But I'll leave that up to the creative mind of Sandra.

Well done.
Robert

The big finale next week, my friend, so keep those thoughts handy! :)) Thank you so very much for the lovely 6 stars, and wonderful review. With 'awesome' I had to keep Eric as he is, so couldn't change how he speaks. And, of course, Ellie was going to pick it up. I'm sure her pa and ma will be thanking Eric for years to come! Lol. Big hugs, dear friend. :)) Sandra xx

How could the Medicine Man have learned something from young Eric long ago? I guess that's part of the mystery. I suspect kids can follow this better than I can, since they don't need things to be realistic. They love fantasy. :)

Odd reply. Fantasy is not my cup of tea, although I do like time travel and Asimov's sci-fi. I'm sure kids will love this convoluted story, but it's a bit bizarre for this old realist. Not that it isn't wonderfully written, as all your stories are. Hope you weren't offended. :)
reply by the author on 02-Sep-2019
No, not offended, just unsure how to take your review this time. It's so different to what you normally say.
reply by Phyllis Stewart on 02-Sep-2019
Yesterday, Misty asked me why I wasn't reading her revived story, and I told her I don't read fantasies. Children's version are okay, since kids enjoy them, but many write for adults, and I never could get into them. Just made no sense, and all depends on magic. At least with sci-fi, you can try to explain what happens in a pseudo-scientific way that seems almost believable, and a lot of it is today, where it would not have been when Asimov was writing.

I enjoyed your time travel trilogy immensely, but that's a genre I like.

I recall writing a western short story that few people read, and when I asked if they had gotten notice, they said yes but they didn't like westerns. It actually was only partially a western--the main idea, and the ending, was a high-tech robotic arm time travelers had left.

Everyone has different tastes, and that's probably a good thing. :)

I understand that. I'm posting the final chapter of Eric's book later this week. It's all set to go, and then I'll be taking time off to publish it for him and spend a bit of time with Graham. We go on holiday next month, a cruise to Barbados, and I'm really looking forward to it. I'm even leaving my laptop at home this time. I need a break from writing. Take care. xx
reply by Phyllis Stewart on 02-Sep-2019
A cruise, eh? Sounds pretty classy. I forget where Barados is...will have to look it up. I have a friend who goes on cruises every year, from Alaska to the Rhine River to Disney World etc. She and her kids and grandkids always have a great time. I get seasick on ships. We crossed the English Channel on a ferry--I threw up for four hours. They say you get used to it. I'm not going to try to find out. LOL

Have a wonderful time and stay safe. I'll miss you. :)
reply by the author on 02-Sep-2019
LOL! I couldn't understand why you didn't know where we were going, then saw what I'd put. It is meant to be, Barbados, in the Caribbean. :))
reply by Phyllis Stewart on 02-Sep-2019
Oh, that's close to Florida. You can stop and visit Thomas. LOL!

Now, Sandra, this certainly has an interesting ending to the chapter and you've left us well and truly on a cliff hanger. Who the heck is he? I love the story, and can't wait to be reading on.
I'm now in Porto, Portugal, and we're having a great time. I'm planning to post my next installment Sunday coming. A big hug. Ulla xxx

I'm so pleased you are having a lovely time, Ulla, you deserve it after the last year or so. Thank you so much for taking the time to come and read this part. One more chapter and it's done, and then I'm going to have a break. I'll still pop by to review yours and a few others. Thank you for all the lovely stars, my friend, they are most appreciated as well as your comments. I hope the weather stays nice for you! Big hugs, my friend. :) Sandra xxx

I'm glad they are getting along. Don't think Eric is in danger now. I just think the medicine man is curious about him and his friend. I hope. It's well-written, interesting, realistic start to finish. Look forward to reading more.
PS. I'm going to post a young-adult story today, do you have any advice?

I'll have a read of it. You mustn't write down to children. Your question already tells me you don't, that's the main thing. Good luck!

Thank you so much for reading mine, one more chapter and it's finished. :)) Sandra xx

It's called Pushed Too Far. Thought I'd better clarify in case you decide to read. I'm working on two books and wouldn't want you to read about Sarah killing thugs and think this isn't a kid's book.
reply by the author on 01-Sep-2019
Two books! I did that once and it really got to me in the end. Have you posted any yet? I have fanned you, haven't I? So if they come up I'll definitely read them. As fpr the theme, goodness, kids know more about killing these days than I know now! My grandson has several games that aren't exactly mild, lol. But they do tell what is right and what is wrong. :))
reply by Mistydawn on 01-Sep-2019
I did this before, had to be careful about interchanging characters. Jeff was a lime-light hog, popped into the other story a lot. Yes, They're both up now. The other is twist of Fate. Doing a revision on it, just the first two chapters so far. Yes you're on my fan list. I wonder why your not getting notices? Kids do seem to know a lot more about killings that what we ever did.

I knew it! It's his friend from the previous story. The dinosaur-like friend he made before. (Am I right?) I love all the details in your stories. It's like really being there with the characters. I once danced with some Cherokee Indians. It was an amazing (awesome - hahaha) experience. The drums seemed to be absorbed into my body.

LOL, Yvonne, you guessed! But you mustn't say a word. lol. You danced with the Cherokee Indians? How awesome is that!!!! lol. I can just imagine how wonderful that must have been. You are soooo lucky! You really must write about that experience. Thank you so very much for this fabulous review, my friend, and the six stars, that was the icing on the cake. You've made my day that you guessed. Biggest hugs, my friend. :)) Sandra xxx

I can see things are coming to a head, Sandra. The danger has been neutralized and the friendships acknowledged, so now all that is left are the goodbyes. This has been an amazing story and I'm sure Eric loves it. Well done my friend. Nancy:)

Last chapter coming up, Nancy. It's half-written now. Then I have to get it illustrated and give it a final edit. I'm so thrilled that you have enjoyed it, my friend, because you write about cowboys, so you can understand why your support has meant so much to me. Thank you, my dear friend. :)) Sandra xxxx

I was fascinated by the way you coped with over a century's worth of language development around that overused adjective of today's youngsters, awesome. It set me wondering whether our modern awful has changed its meaning from good to bad. Some words have. Silly, or its medieval equivalent, 'sely' for example once meant blessed but now it means idiotic!

Did you know that those irritating wasps that buzz around our ears, ready to sting you started off as 'waps' but gradually the 's' became more pronounced and the words changed to wasps? There are a few instances like that, and a book has just been published about them all. Yes, 'awful' is often used for the opposite effect, it's awfully good! Thanks, Jim. One last chapter to go. Then I have to edit and illustrate it for my grandson's pleasure! :) Big hugs, my friend. Sandra xxx
