That's such an interesting piece. I love the mystery, the anticipation and then the final solution was a complete surprise. All in all, I really enjoyed reading this.

I'll have to watch for that. I'd like to know if Cicely is really a con artist or if the narrator is paranoid. Is she OK? Paranoia can sound funny, but it's anything but for the sufferer.

Very good. I too was confused by multiple deliveries. I received several microwave ovens and couldn't understand it. I did some investigating and discovered my cat going online and ordering them. It was a case of identity theft.

Your experience sounds to have been a strange one. Quite funny really, as identity theft figures in the book (marginally - there is a lot to fit in).

I'm glad you told me this was part of an ongoing story as well as a contest entry. As a contest entry it's great as a chapter it's okay. I would hope the actual novel would have a meatier chapter to replace this.

I think that there are so many scams going around that it's hard not to think that you are when you see something suspicious. Perhaps being a bit to cautious is a good thing. Thanks for sharing this well written work. Well done!

Nice that they deliver - those things are heavy. We get our replacement used appliances from the ReStore - which has great prices - and why not. However, if it's delivered - well, that helps.

We are spoilt in Europe. They will even deliver used appliances.

I have a friend in Washington state whose washer is broke. I try to encourage her to get someone to bring her a used one. She's growing older and is forgetful I'm sorry to say. Nice that they deliver.
