I might have just read the winner, here. Creative, ingenious, entertaining, some good science in places. Well thought out, very well done and I really hope you do give us more on this.

Oh, I could just kiss you for this!! ;) :) I just knew it wouldn't go over well because it was so long... but what's a girl to do with yet ANOTHER 'dinos aren't dead' story! :) :) LOL! I'm so glad you persevered and enjoyed my craziness, ma'am -- you have given me a smile to last the week! ;) Thanx so very, very much and may you have a wonderful holiday celebration tomorrow! ;) :) Yvette

Every time I read your CV in your profile, I regret my own dull choice of career path. How much more fun to be a real rocket scientist. That's got to be worth more than gold at parties. Even a maths teacher strikes me as being fun, something I wouldn't have said a few decades ago.
To me, this story seemed to have little head-nods to Sound of Music, The Imitation Game and Planet of the Apes, as well as others I probably missed. One I didn't miss is that I was waiting for Clyde to "scrap the Caddy". It was fun spotting them :)
A most entertaining tale, Yvette. A couple of minor "glitches", I thought I'd mention:
the two story, wooden house in front of me
should be "storey"
bright orange light shown from underneath each symbol
I think maybe you meant "shone"
That had always my go-to choice.
should be "always been"
Great job, best of luck in the contest.

LOL! So glad you enjoyed this one, Craig -- your opening comments made my day, sir! I honestly just couldn't believe i had to come up with something to do with dinosaurs of all things -- but here it is!! ;) :) And do you know, Sir Craig, that you are the ONLY one thus far that put two-and-two together with the orangutan and Clyde? I figured at least some others out there would find that... c'est la vie, I suppose! ;) :) Thanx so much for those catches and for stopping in for the review -- have a great week over there! ;) Yvette

I waited for you and this story to materializing on my screen. I waited for a dinosaur story? The EP is something that all sci-fi nuts find intriguing. Dinosaurs were first before us. I wonder what their sins were to be wiped out of the earth. Where they killing to much for pleasure? The bigger the vainer. You wanted to be the last because yours is better. :) Thank you for sharing.
Now I go to sleep.

Because I didn't particular like this world we lived in, I wanted to believe it still existed in another way that had some sort of hope, so I read all the great sci fi writers, Herbert, Asimov, Tolkien, Bradbury, Wyndham, CS Lewis, they were my unrealistic purveyors, then I met Jesus, I threw out the best books you can imagine, but I still have a weakness for strange genres, well done Yvette, we are two of a kind. Well done, good writing, blessings, Roy

You got me:) I thought initially that your story it's a SF story, then a mystery and then back to SF. Your story is very dynamic and cascading from one situation to the next it kept me on the edge until the lost moment. Good luck with the contest.

I liked your story and have bought a few items sight unseen as well but noting as big as a house. So I was drawn to your fantasy tale. A very imaginative tale. Don and Vicki.

Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea crashes into E.T. I love you to pieces and knew deep down your were from an alternate universe. Is your real name Yvette? I love the Von Trappe name from the Sound of Music. This is a spoof and I enjoyed it so much, dear creative friend. Best wishes for the contest from live from Hurricane Central. Signing off from not-so-sunny Florida . . . .
