The little. Dickens love apples and will eat flowers of the graves at the national cemetery. We sat and watched them do it time and time again. They love carnations and gardinias.

Thanks for the review. I have been clearing some land of fallen trees and have a big area clear cut. I was thinking of planting fruit trees, but the deer will have a feast. Instead I will plant 43 C'mas trees, for every year I have been in Vermont. Wishing you a wonderful week end dear, judester

Excellent haiku combined with a lovely picture to set the scene. Makes me hungry for an apply right now. (smile)

Nicely done and good luck.
Blessings
Janet

The apple crop is going to be fantastic this year in Quebec/Vermont. I also found 4 wild cherry trees and picked a few buckets for a pie mid February. Cheers.

Lovely words. Lovely picture. Lovely thoughts. I've never actually seen the deer eating anything in my yard, but they sure make pigs of themselves off the lilies and liriope!

Thanks for the review Susan. If it was just the apples, it would be okay, but they tend to nibble on the leaves also.
I am researching a few methods of keeping deer away from fruit and walnut trees, peacefully.
On my land in Vermont I had to clear out the old trees that were making the woods gloomy, lots of blow down trees, so had to clear cut a big area for the equipment. The guy is stumping and levelling, so I will have a huge area that I want to fill with indigenous trees. I will have to go to the tunbridge fair (sigh) where they sell little Fraser firs for one dollar each. I am buying 43, one for each year I have been in Vermont and an inuk shuk made of wood and some little rabbit hutches out of boughs, so excited. Oh yeah and lots of wildflowers for our beautiful bees. Cheers.

As secretary of the board if our community pollinator habitat, I applaud your efforts for the bees. And anything you do for the butterflies will also be appreciated. It?s been a bad year for butterflies down here in Georgia.

Yes Ma'am, the butterflies will find their favorite flowers and hummingbird feeders and salt licks etc...all are welcome chez moi.

-Very nice image
and presentation.
-The syllable count is good.
-You have written an
excellent haiku that
meets all of the requirements.
-You allow us to
picture the scene without
showing it or telling.
-The imagery is vivid,
and the satori line is excellent.

You are very welcome. The fruit sounds delicious and would make some great pies!
