I honestly don't think it wise to let either one of those guys use power tools of any kind under any circumstances. This ought to prove quite interesting. Well done and thank you very much for sharing it.

Ned is hilarious! I enjoyed this write. Loved the history of floats. I didn't know that, despite growing up in the West Country in England, which is a big carnival area. I look forward to reading the next instalment

Thanks, Sarkems. Maybe being in a school environment is paying off.

It is going to take quite a bit to get the float built unless these three have some more intellectually qualified personnel to assist them. Are there females around, taking a leak in the woods?

Yes, Ned wouldn?t be my first choice. I may send him to help a rival school?s float. Ned would only whiz in a she-free area.

Ned is full of mirth and that often is worth more than ability.

Hi Bill, I sure have missed these guys... Ned and Pons are two of my favorite characters on this forum. They are always so very entertaining! I just love them to death! They are always good for a good chuckle, no matter what time of day it is. :)

Well Bill. You made me laugh out loud again. There are some funny thoughts in there but the one that got me wound up is: "I missed my homecomin' parade on account I was home schooled." That cracked me up. Great job entertaining me again. Robert

A variation on the backwoods hick tale... Gomer Pyle maybe. I was home-schooled and will try not to draw comparisons. I'd like to know where this is going. Is Ned really an idiot or is he playing them?

oy, Ned doe not seem to get much smarter with the passage of time. It's a wonder he hasn't blown himself up or something. Oh well, I guess it's better to be lucky than smart in some cases and in some places.

I enjoyed reading this, my friend, 'causer you haven't had a Ned and Pons story for a while. I must say I'm surprised that Flack is surprised by Ned's lack of understanding. Maybe he's just a standard smartaleck teen.

Bill,

This always terrifies me. I hate to consider a world where people like Ned walk around - safely. Loved the puns, as always. You never fail to bring a smile. Thanks!
