HI Sandra, I must say...we are so very blessed to have such beautiful grandchildren...and I can totally understand Ellie being afraid oh Herbie...how would you feel if this big yellow Easter egg with a propeller on it's head...and a mask on his face started talking to you???...( Herbie wasn't made in Graham's image...right???) Just Kidding...I'm sure Graham's a handsome dude...anyway...I'm so glad Thomas is with Ellie May...but I'm not sure I trust the Indians to just let her go...they may want Herbie in trade...hmmmmm...if I were Eric I would grab my bike...gather everyone...and get out of Dodge...well done my wonderful sweet friend...I bet Eric well truly love this...and Ellie May as well...I know Noah and I do...he sat in here with me tonight...he still worries about Eric's bike...LOL...very well done you...I love this chapter as well...so much love coming at you...Linda xxoo

I hope and pray all is still going well...how is Sarah doing???...and say hi to Ian for me...xxoo

I was going to leave Wednesday to go back up home...but they may get a hurricane Saturday...so I will want...so far they said it will be a weak one...but you never know with those crazy things...and they said if it gets bad...they just want to come up by me...truly...I have been in so many of them (6 or 7 if I remember right)...from when I was a kid...and last year as well...and a couple when I was at my mom's house...my dad and I played poker...LOL...last year I was here with the kids...so what's a few more days...you take care...talk at you later...love xxoo

Yes, I'm so proud of my grandchildren. Actually, they take after me!!!! LOL!!! Eric is a very curious boy, so he will want to find out what the Med-Man wants to talk about. He can't leave yet, anyway, because I want to know what he wants to talk to Eric about as well!! Hmm, just when I was going to finish the story, he pops up and says he wants a chat! What a nerve he's got butting into my story!!! You just can't get the characters to do as they're told these days!!
Thank you so much for another of your amazing reviews, my wonderful friend, and for all those pretty stars. Love you loads!!

I don't think I could live in hurricane land, I'd be scared stiff! Do you have an underground shelter? Or a strong table????? You stay put until it's safe to drive home. (it gives you a few more days with Noah, so that's a plus! Give him a hug from me.

Sara is doing well, she's running and cycling all the time, keeping fit. Her op is now on the 4th of December, the day after her birthday. It wouldn't have been a nice pressy to have it done then. She's coping well, better than I would, I'm sure of that. Big hugs and more love to share between you and my favourite little American boy. :)) Sandra xxx

that is just wonderful...you and Eric go talk to the Med-Man...and don't forget to take your shrink with you...and your so welcome sweet beautiful you...always...love you bunches...I just hugged Noah for you...

    I used to live here in hurricane land...21 years...now I live in Tornado land...LOL...no Shelter...but a strong table...and a fast care...

I am so glad to hear Sarah is doing well...I will keep her in my prayers...

I have Noah and Abby hiding in my room...so they don't have to take showers...LOL...Kristy gave them 15 minutes and they have to get them... Noah would go all week without one if they didn't make him take them...if your not rolling in dirt...you don't need one...LOL...

love you girl...take care...and biggest hugs all around....smiling sooooooo big...xxxxxooooo

Sandra,

Yay! It's fabulous that Ellie was happy to let Eric and his buddy rescue her in the story. I know that he must enjoy being the hero. I'm thrilled to see such a dedicated and wonderful grandma.

Notes:
1.) what was happening and found herself plunged headlong into terror. Jumping up(,)she dashed over to Hetiwa

2.) Thomas that Chief Niwot wanted them to stay for a powwow. (")There will be dancing and a feast to honour us."

Thanks!

Aw, bless you, Robyn, for catching those. I've got them sorted, thank you so much for pointing them out. I'm so pleased you are enjoying this story. Eric is chuffed to bits to be the hero, and Ellie is being very kind to allow it! Lol, she is the bossy one, and Eric always has to do what he's told when they get together. And he happily allows it! I think she takes after her mum, at least, that's what her dad told me! Bless them. Thanks again, Robyn, for the lovely review and the help. :)) Sandra xx

Hello again Sandra my dear. Yet another good installment of the story. Yes they finally got to Ellie! The picture of your granddaughter was a nice touch, it is always good to be able to put a face to your characters. Thank you and good job! What will they have to talk about?

Well, now there's a twist we didn't see coming....or should we say TWO twists: dinner and an English-speaking medicine man!! ;) :) Another great offering, Sandra -- such a cool flow and turn of events...perfect for the age-group you're shooting for! ;) :) Thanx for sharing, ma'am! ;) Yvette

A great continuation Sandra, I am so glad Eric finally got to meet Ellie May (cute picture and I am so glad they are related in true life. There were a few tense moments throughout, such as Ellie's fear of Herbie, Hetiwa's fear of Herbie and knowing the tribe did wrong by kidnapping Ellie, the consideration to refuse the invitation. All of these things added great suspense to story. And of course you left it open ended for the next chapter, which will be surprising now that we know the medicine man speaks perfect English. Very well done, greatly enjoyed, hugs, smiles and Blessings.

I'm really glad you enjoyed this part, Alie, this was where I'd thought to end it, and then that silly Medicine Man put an oar in the spokes! Now we have to find out what he wants!! Lol. Thanks for the lovely review, my friend. :)) Sandra xxx

LOL so I wasn't imagining it, I did recall you were winding things up but as a reader I think it is great that it is continuing. You are so welcome.

I thought Ellie's reaction to Herbie was very realistic. I enjoyed this chapter, particularly the sensitive way in which you portrayed the Indians. The Medicine Man who speaks perfect English is a bit of a mystery. I'll be interested to see how that unfolds.

Just one little thing to think about. I believe that the opening clause in this sentence is what my old English master at school would have called a dangling modifier. (It sounds as if the misery raised her head!)
Raising her head to see what was happening, Ellie's misery was immediately forgotten as she plunged headlong into terror.
As a schoolboy, I tended to giggle at the mental image that came to mind whenever he mentioned dangling modifier!

Hi, Tony, thank you so much for pointing that out, lol, I'll make sure I don't make that mistake again. the sentence now reads....
Forcing herself out of her misery, Ellie May raised her head to see what was happening and found herself plunged headlong into terror....
What do you think? Thank you, my friend, for the six stars, and the helpful review. I really appreciate the help. Big hugs, Sandra xx

A beautifully crafted chapter, Sandra. So the medicine man talks English? This should be interesting! I can't wait to read on and find out what he says.

Yay!!! Elle rescued at last. A new twist with an English speaking Medicine Man. What will be next? Herbie was as delightful and amusing as ever. I did not find any errors or identify required edits or adjustments. Well written story.

The taletelling is simple and adventurous, with a good beginning, if not catchy, but plot develops with natural flow, backed by realistic dialogues, formal climax, but the strange medicine man spoke in perfect English; curious ending; well said, well done. Liked and enjoyed the read.

From dinosaurs to Indian maidens. Eric sure does get around! Has your grandson been reading this, or will you wait till it's finished? Do you read it to him or can he read well enough to do it himself? You're a wonderful grandma. :)

Hi Phyllis, thank you so much for the lovely 6 stars!! Eric tries hard to read it, but it is a struggle for him. He starts his special needs school next week, so we're hoping to see some results, no matter how small, in the coming months. They deal with dyslexia all the time with great results. I had to smile, dinosaurs to Indians, next it will be Egyptian Pharaohs! lol. Not for a while though, I need a break. I'll be writing a bit of poetry in between them. This story is nearly finished. It's lovely to see you again on here, I've really missed you. :)) Big hugs my friend. Sandra xxxx
