Hi I'm here for a few reads and then I need to back off again, but this was beautiful. You offered such a good view of him and I knew we had all stringed or maybe I should say tethered together for a reason. Beautiful Helen! Blessings

Oh, Christine! Thank you for remembering Dean with me by reading my thoughts about him. He was a unique contrast of horror-writing, humorous and a very sweet, gentle soul. Appreciate your generous rating, too. Hugs!

My dear Lynn, I love how your poem echoes his own love of wit (and Poe) and also has great flow and rhyming akin to his style in quatrains (with bonus slant rhymes and deft use of alliteraiton, etc.).
Favorite lines are:
sweet metered poem echoed Poe
AND
He reads the ones with lots of puns
I love that you noted his kindness in this well done stanza:
I don't know why, but since a boy
the horror genre brought him joy
But he reviewed all kinds of writes
with kindest comments so polite
And here too:
And just because he dared to scare,
it didn't mean he didn't care
about the solemn themes of faith
or 'bout the scars that loving brings
A lovely addition to this book, which I am sure Dean adored reading over your shoulder...
Love,

Beautifully composed in honor of one of our most talented people. Nicely done, Helen. Your author's note speaks of his kindness and that we can write in any genre and appreciate the writer's abilities. Marilyn

Oh thank you for joining Fanstory to see and read how much your brother was loved here. His works have been read to and delighted not only the readers here but readers' children, too. So I hope your grandchildren will get to enjoy some of his humor through his writings here. Appreciate your personal response. Blessings and prayers for comfort for all of you, in Dean's family.

I found this profound cuz I was just thinking about mr. D and the impact he had here. I was wondering what had happened to him as she usually held the coveted spot of number one author. He was very witty very opinionated and I remember one season when he wrote about the Tom who stole Christmas much like the Grinch. He wasn't afraid to step outside the bounds and say what he thought and as most of the writers and readers hear you either loved him or despise him. I always had a great relationship with his rider and he will be sorely missed. I'm so happy to have read this tribute to Mr Dean Koontz who will be missed here.
Thanks for this remembrance we are blessed to have others who thought highly of this man Who Loved to scare us I'm still does!

I love this superb ode you've penned here to Dean Helen. It's really very good and sums him up very well. You've captured a bit of his flare in this. I like the descriptive and colorful writing you've used. The rhyme and flow is smooth and seamless. Thanks for sharing this well written work. Well done!

So many tributes to this awesome writer and this just as beautiful a tribute as any! So wonderful to see so much love poured out for him. I had only known him a short time but he was one of the very first people that reached out when I joined and was always there if I had a question! I hope his family will allow his portfolio to remain in a while so that we can all review his work again. xoxo
