Either that or the mosquitoes. At camp, our son & family have had bees this year, but not so many mosquitoes. Guess it's the bug's world after all. it's all part of being outside. Good poem

Thanks Gail for your 'un-pesky' review. LOL

Yep, it is a buggy world we live in. Bees bite, mosquitos itch! Both are bothersome.

Thanks to gnats--even more thanks to mosquitos, which love me--I get to spend much of summertime slathered in insect repellent. You have made excellent use of all of your syllables in this 5-7-5 about those little killjoys!

We have a souvenir t-shirt in Mississippi featuring a gigantic mosquito. The caption reads "Send more tourists. The last ones were delicious!"

Good way to not attract northerners LOL

But, it is a great t-shirt.

    Thanks for your reply.

This might sound silly but "pesky" is one of my favorite words and not often used. This poem is true to form and I enjoyed reading it. You also found the perfect picture to complement it.

    Thanks Susan for your 'un-pesky' review of my typical 5-7-5 verse. For me, mosquitos must send out buzz emails when they enter my home or I am in their neighborhood: "cheap fresh meat available today" (-;

    Robyn,

At least you did not text for help while driving. LOL Flies are another annoying bug. At least they don't bite. I am convinced that mosquitos send out a buzz email message when they are in my house or in their neighborhood: fresh meat today!

Lol. It's more unsettling if it the "incessant buzzing" is due to mosquitoes which is what the picture seems to portray with those scary pointy proboscises! Fun little poem.

True, those 'quitos are very annoying and itching. I needed one syllable for my 5-7-5, ergo gnats. The picture is accurate as you noted. LOL

Ha! They sure are pesky beings! Very cute poem here!!

And not just in the night. Flies are just as bothersome if they sneak in your home! Geez! Can't they all just be happy outside! LoL! xo

The mosquitos must send buzz email messages when I visit their neighborhood or they somehow get into my home to remind each other of my presence: fresh meat today! Ugh, do they itch and bother me.

I admired your shift from the mood of stillness to that of annoyance. You selected the perfect picture to reinforce your theme. Thanks for the laughs- Joan

Yes! I can relate to that! Great application of the 5-7-5 format and definitely gets the humour in there with it. Well done! The picture is fitting and unusual. You can almost feel the pesky things!

    Jan,

Those nasty bugs must know when I am in their neighborhood. They send out buzz-messages: fresh meat on sale.

    Pleased you liked this presentation.
