This is a very well -constructed story that perfectly describes the expression of the little (squirrel, I think?). The story is funny, descriptive and has a nice tag a the end.

Love can be a treacherous thing, especially interspecies romances. In this tale, the squirrel changes places with the grasshopper. Very good.

Hooray for crazy ladies and their 'food leaving-out habits' (I proudly count myself in that group!) and, most importantly, hooray for precious squirrel pics!! ;) You are so right - this picture is wonderful!! ;) :) Loved your take on it, as usual, Lady Maria! ;) Thanx for sharing! ;) Yvette

P.S. So sorry for the delayed review - the beginning of school combined with getting the boys off to college (they're all out there now - so quiet round here!!) has me struggling to find a routine... I PROMISE to be there soon - and, believe me, that's more for the OCD blonde over here than for you - LOL! ;) ;) Take care!

This is so unusual to see a write about a squirrel that is obviously emotionally attached to the yellow gerbera daisy. Very different... I liked your take on it and think you are write about using a ..love.. theme. Well done, Maria, as always.

Hello Maria. This is a very likable story about the squirrel that has become confused after falling in love with a flower. It seems he is deserting the rest of his obligations in life just to court the flower. Robert

#aww, I 've just read Debra's and hot-footed it over to read yours. It seems that love isn't what it first appeared when I read Debra's. This one tells of love at first sight, when the golden hair is shining, and the face if beaming. But, I guess the golden locks aren't lasting because on Debra's it looks like he's having second thoughts. You will have to write another one so we know what's going on. I hope he isn't one of the fickle boys who only love 'em when they are pretty? LOL. Wonderful, Maria. This story could go on for quite a while! :)) Sandra xx

    I don't think he's having second thoughts. I think he's sad because he's losing her... He's a nice guy ;)
    Thanks for reading.

This is so cute. What a lovely photo and a great little story to go with it. That little creature - is it a chipmunk? - does look to be enamoured by the flower. I'm now off to read Debra's story.

The caption said squirrel. But chipmunks are a kind of NA squirrel, aren't they?
    Thanks for reading.

A very well-written short story about the squirrel that's falling in love with the little yellow dandelion. In winter food is scarce and then the lady of the house leave him something to eat on the porch.

Is that really a squirrel? Can't tell without seeing his tail. It's such a cute picture - he really does look like he's in love but alas, a flower doesn't last forever. He'll return to bachelorhood.
