CIAO TEMPESTE: This piece of art is outstanding. I like it in that it captures your reader's attention from the very beginning; "THE TITLE," and keeps them, HOOKED." until you deck them. I'm not a fishing fan and I don't like it when people do it for a sport unless their catch is not wasted and actually turns into a meal.
I confess I cheated ( biggrin ) I just thought it would be appealing as a topic.

Glad you entered this cinquain poetry contest. Best of luck! You pack a lot of drama in this with your description of how the fish struggles and puts up a fight. Your action verbs are great. The fish's tough fight shows the nature of the marvelous fish. judi

Fishing is a game of wits ...I'm not that keen on fishing is done for mere sport but if the catch serves as a meal....

It took me an hour to find that pic .. I wanted the fish swirling and splashing...( biggrin )
I'm not keen on fishing as a sport but if the catch does serve as a meal I'm willing to close an eye.

Yes its a question of survival ..sometimes the fish lives another day but most of the time it loses.
Personally, I don't like fishing as a sport..but if the catch serves as a meal I'm willing to close an eye.
