I enjoyed reading this verse which is a testimony of faith. Your journey is spelled out and it is full of the blessed hand of the Lord. Great job on this verse, Patricia.

Though there have been times, I'd stray
still You would not let me get away.

We may tire of asking for God's forgiveness, but He never tires of forgiving us, and helping us.

Hi Patricia. I'm happy to see a poem from you and the photo. I think you've been blessed to have the strength to lose the weight and I'm sure feel much better. God wants us to be happy. Marilyn

A very well-written heartfelt and truthful poem. Only we can know what our lives were and what God does to make it all better for us and we can only be grateful for His guidance.

Wow! 86 pounds, Pat!!! Way to go!!! How'd you do it??? I don't have quite 86 to lose, but I will if I'm not careful! LOL, I do have a considerable amount. I hate to say it but I just got an instant pot and I don't think I've eaten so well in ages! I'm absolutely loving this thing! :) (I made risotto last night... something I've never done because you have to stand there and stir forever to get it right. It was amazing!) I really need to get on that treadmill downstairs! :)

Looking good! Congratulations. That's an accomplishment. It's hard to love weight, but you did it! Wonderful message in your poem. Aren't we lucky that God never gives up on us!!! I cannot imagine life without Him in it.

I can't believe you were ever that far astray! Your emotion really comes through as you describe how you felt unworthy and weren't accepting of God, He was always there, not giving up on you or letting you go. You acknowledge that by telling your story of what God has done for you. Very well stated. judi

86 pounds that's marvelous, congratulations. Your poem is beautiful, brought tears to my eyes. It's well- written, very relatable, applicable to all our lives. Your word choice is perfect. I do believe this is the best one of all which is saying a lot since all your poems have been great.

This is so beautiful...both in the way it's written and with the glorious message it shares. I understand completely what you are saying about the Lord being close by, protecting us, through all the foolishness we did before we clung to Him. (This is what is called in theology 'God's prevenient grace'--which means that God watches over us even before we become His children because He already knows for certain that we are going to belong to him at a future date.) -- Congratulations on the weight loss! I'm glad to see your picture, too! Big hugs, Janet

This well-written, moving, heartfelt prayer shows the gratitude we all should have--all of who have accepted His offer of salvation and now trust
Him to keep us on the right path.
