I think this is fun and adventurous and mysterious and thrilling on the right level for a young reader. Is the grandson working on reading aloud? I am not sure what to improve on. With the sentence: "Guess you've got a point, little'n.
I think I would just say Little One. Otherwise someone might mistake it for them making a little point.

Thank you so much for this really lovely review, Crystie, and that helpful suggestion. Now that you've pointed it out, I completely agree how it can easily be misinterpreted. I'll change that now. Thanks for that!! Big hugs, my friend. :)) Sandra xx

The chapter was very well-written. I like the pace as well as the tone. The climax to your chapter brought suspense that gave the reader anticipation for the following read. It is a delight in reading your work.

I liked reading this story! I have always been fascinated by the American Indians and how their culture was. They have always been curious about their surroundings. Best of luck as you continue writing this story!

Rescue party accompanied by a myth that could buy time and credibility "Hetiwa watched her, sad for this child who was desperate to see her family again. If it was up to her, this little girl would be taken back to her parents. Now that the Great Spirit was here, Hetiwa was more than a little afraid herself." Oh , boy what's next? Is the girl going to be rescued?

Hi Sandra, LMBO at this picture...Graham actually made him a Herbie...they look like great friends...LOL...I would love to hear what he tells his other friend about he...
once again we have to talk about where you leave off my wonderful friend...you could have at least let her see her father...I would have slept better...but a least they got to hear her...and of course eagle eye Herbie found her...can't wait to see what happens sweet girl...another winner you...this will be another great adventure book...very well written you...and this picture is a framer...Eric is getting big...and a handsome young man...love to so much...Linda xxoo

I took the book the library...I told them to look on Amazon..that you had many more children books...and adults books...Kristy is going to keep on them...but they said it takes about 2 or 3 months to decide...that's just crazy...but I will keep looking in on it...

my sister is finally home...and out of the ICU...so I am back at Kristy's...and will be headed back home next week...will be good to get back...

I hope Ian is feeling better...and pray his feet replacements are working out better...God Bless...xxoo love

Thank goodness she is out of ICU! That is brilliant. I'm glad she's at home now. You've had quite a time of it of late, Linda. How long have you been away this time?

Ian is oh a high at the moment, he went to the hospital and was told his blisters and infections have gone. (until the next time!) He's hoping for a few months free of hostitals. If it was just his feet, he might be, but Ian is greedy, as I keep telling him. Not content with one illness at a time, he likes to go the whole hog!! lol. Bless him.
Yes Eric is growing. He's up to my chin now. I'm 5ft 3inches. (1.60) I don't know if you work in feet and inches? Eric must be about 4ft11ins. (1.49-1.50) He'll be like his dad, he shot up when he was 12 and now stands at 6ft2. They all look down on me!!! LOL
Thank you, sweet girl, for this lovely, funny review and all the stars!!! Yes, Graham made me a Herbie so that I could take some photos with it with Eric. I thought he did a great job, except he didn't make him talk and fly!! NOT GOOD ENOUGH!! :))

I wonder if the Library will take my book seeing as I'm not a local author. I had a sudden thought, I don't know if there are any spellings in that book that aren't spelt the US way. If there is, they'll know I'm not local, or they'll think I can't spell! lol.
It's so good of you to try for me. Thank you, my dear friend.
Take care my dear friend, and say hi to your mum and Noah for me, and give Noah a big hug!! Say hi to Kirsty for me too. Love you loads, my friend. :)) Sandra xxxx

I have been here sense June 14th...a couple more weeks than I had planned...but that's ok...what would I be doing better than helping out...gives my brother a break...and my daughter...her husband and her like to have date nights when I am here...some time for themselves...and times I get to have with my grandkids...we watch movies...and eat all the junk food we can before mom and dad get home....LOL...a bit different now...Abby's diabetes...sigh...

I'm so glad Ian is on a high right now...let him go for the gusto...as we get older one illness just doesn't do it...it's like the car...if one thing goes...something else does...I have had my ups and downs in my health Sandra...but I have been so blessed...still able to lead a hand when I can...say hi to Ian for me...xxoo

you can see the difference in Eric from picture to picture...his mother will have her hands full when he starts dating...I am 5'5" in height...and my 16 year old granddaughter is almost as tall as me...I remember when they were all babies...sigh...

I don't think it would matter if your book is out of the country...I was looking around at all the books in the library...and sweet girl I don't think all those books are just from here...can't be...you learn from people all over the would...if the kids in school are looking to read a book from an author in another part of the world...I would think they wouldn't have to travel there to read it...and I wouldn't worry about the spelling...today there are more people here that can't speak English ...much less spell it...give them another year...they'll be trying to change our spelling ...they've tried to change everything else...I'm sure that will be ok...

I'll give Noah a hug for you before school...you have to grab him when he runs by...I call him sparky...he is always running everywhere...LOL...well...I'm going to bed...you take care as we...and tell Graham he did a great job on Herbie...made me laugh trying to picture him working on it...LOL...talk at you later sweet angel...with much love... Linda xxoo

This is an unusual story. I would like to know why the Indians are holding the little girl but I guess that will be told in good time. Wishing you all the best in your continued story writing.

What a cutie! Your grandsons picture sure complements your story. The dialogue pulls the reader away from their reality in to the plot of your story. Well done as always.

Ironic that Herbie's gallivanting in the sky as the pretend Great Spirit thwarts Ellie's bid for freedom. Adds depth as well as dramatic tension to your chapter.

It would be good to name the Chief and the Shaman. Herbie knows their names and so does Hetiwa. But perhaps you're keeping formal introductions for another chapter.

That flap is playing an important role. LOL.

Blessings Julia

Ellie's desperation and sadness comes across very well in this instalment without being overly dramatic... which is nice. lol

There are a few little spots where you pair up adverbs but nothing major.

Now if only Herbie could shoot lasers...

Aha! Those lasers! Hmm, we'll have to see what happens. Not many more to come, I'm making all these stories around the 12000 mark. 4000 to go. When are we going to get another chapter of your book???? I'm still waiting! lol. Big hugs, my friend, xxx

For one thing, I would fear the Indians. However, they feared the great spirit, a somewhat religious custom, I think. So, the white guys had the Indians in a compromising position. I compare the fear like the way the African American people do religion. Religion is no plaything to mess around about.

Thank you so much, Phillip, your words are really appreciated. Eric is only 11 years old, (He's my grandson, and that's him in the picture) and he likes everyone to be friends. You'll be really pleased with the next couple of chapters. I won't have the Indians as bad men, they had a rough deal all those years ago, and they have all my sympathies. As for the religious side, I totally agree with you. Big hugs, my friend. :)) Sandra xx
