Although I believe that we are in the seventh day of creation where Jehovah God is resting, the process of creation is still taking place, in the form of after effects of things set in motion, for example it is said that the universe is still expanding, so are things sill occurring here on the earth.

Life blubs up and new things become real.

That is wonderful artwork. You must be describing a sea change! Sometimes it takes being down to give us the courage and inspiration to move upward. I like your thought about new territories emerging. There are always possibilities if we explore them. judi

-Interesting artwork and
good presentation, Bill.
-The syllable count is good.
-Effective description in
the first two lines.
-A good pivot line.
-I like "percolating sea" and
the satori like last line.
-Did you mean tanka
in the description?

I never identify as a tanka. I usually call these pranka, but that?s because they are typically for laughs. Thanks, Pam, for giving this a look. Bill

Thanks for sharing, Bill, now I will know what to look for-a zanka or a pranka, or maybe more! You are welcome for the review.

This is a well constructed Tanka (Zanka) with correct line and syllable count throughout. The turn in line three is well executed as is the closing resolution. Well done and thank you very much for sharing it.

Things happen for a reason. Some how, things occur because for a purpose. I really like how this poem captures this. It also does a really good job of of bringing the point of how beginnings come and things always emerge from it. Have a blessed day!

I had to look up zanka on the net. This is what I found...
Tanka, short poem.
Zanka, left over ember.
There is no sacred
scent, suffering, tradition
for the unfamiliar.
I'm none the wiser! LOL
Your zanka makes a good tanka, in Darwinian terms.

Tanka scrutiny leads me to not choosing it as a format. The zanka is whatever I we say it is.

Hi Bill
This is deep and beautifully presented. I like the idea of beginnings having their beginnings in the sea. Wonderful write. I really enjoy these kinds of philosophical writes. Well done.

Facts. Quick and to the point, it flows well. It describes my life and how I've journeyed like a vagabond throughout, focusing out of chaos and creating new territories to conquer. Thanks for sharing.
