I really like stanza 3 and four. For some reason my favorite line is, "If interrupted, they will skitter." Maybe because it is matter-of-fact but also natural in its construction. Very appropriate photo! I was only going to point out that "morel" is probably supposed to be "morsel." Very nice entry.

Oh thanks you so much and yes morel is morsel so have corrected this. I watched the birds the other day and they kept me fascinated with their antics so I thought this might do for this contest a new style for me also
