Poor little duck! It would indeed suck.
You are very creative. When I saw this picture, I didn't come up with any interesting ideas myself.

I wonder if was a forerunner to the rubber duckie?? Wrong colour I know but I am sure it can evolve into a yellow submarine duckie right? Plucky Ducky me thinks and they don't look lame but are a bit quackers (like me:)) and are sploshers and splashers in that there paddling pool! Like the quick rhyme of this one and you seem to have ruffled its feathers in this quickfire ditty, nice work and picture!

Oh my, I love that is more poems about this little duck, have you thought about later turning this into a children book. It would open the children minds and hearts'

This work has reached the exceptional level

Something about this smacks of Kenneth Grahame or Lewis Carroll. It's amazing how much amusement we can find in the silly things we see animals do, and I've found lots of it in just these four lines. Keep up your humorous view of the world!

I guess it depends on whether one is a roast duck, or one caught in the rain and shrinking as a result, either way who'd be a duck? We done Debra, and excellent poem my friend, blessings, Roy
