I adore winter for a few months. We used to ski and the quiet won me over. I like your footstool idea though. Very creative and poetic. I see you did well. Well deserved

You know I hate cold weather!! ;) :) Yours was beautiful write about my least favorite season.... but, you know, I find it difficult these days to figure out a rhyme or reason (to coin a phrase - lol!) to many of the contests... And PLEASE do not think that is a complaint because it is NOT! :) But I am reminded why I never, ever really look at the results no matter what, if any, place I receive... I've looked at the last two and I have RE-AVOWED not to ever look again!! ;) :) Thanx for your review, Beautiful Friend! ;) Yvette

A very well-written 5-7-5 ode to winter. While the snow is still visible on the mountain tops, Spring starts to sprout in the valley, not able to wait till winter is finally gone to make time for Spring.

Winter here is feeding the voracious wood stove all day long - my husband out with his tractor plowing driveway so we can get out. No time to survey the wonders of the mountains altho they're sure gorgeous.

This one is a great write and ode to winter. I like the seasons, I must say. Not much better than a roaring fire, snow and good company, well unless you add a glass of champagne into the mix - lol
