Nicely done minimal syllable effort. It speaks volumes in the nine syllables used. The use of alliteration added to the flavor of the overall tone. Well done and thank you very much for sharing it.

I enjoyed this short and sweet poem and congratulate yourself and your wife on your ongoing union. The abstract artwork was well chosen. Thanks for sharing.

A very well-written poem about the flame that burns for only one person in your lidea and you won't look for any other. It seems she feel the same and returns het fire just for you.

Thanks for your support for my verse about my better half of my marriage.

"the flame still burns", is short, succinct and very much to the point. With a minimum of words this talented poet, has told it as it is. I look forward to seeing your next post.

Congrats on your longevity too! We have two children and four grandchildren. There are no expectation that either will increase LOL. Daughter and her husband have identical twin girls (they are 7); our son and his wife have two boys (2 and the youngest born earlier this year). Coincidentally all born in April!

Well, it's such a wonderful thing to see a man who is still in love with his wife. How refreshing. My husband still refers to me as his bride after 44 years. It's adorable.
Sending you my best today as always and a Happy Birthday to your wife!

Thanks. She received lots of birthday greetings and some chocolate candy to celebrate. She hiked with 30 people in NY's Adirondacks. We had some beer post-hike to quench thirsts.

Sounds like she had a memorable celebration. Good on her and cheers to more thirst quenching beers :-) ~DD

Hi Mark, I am sure your wife is loving these verses that you are penning to her. The tribute is lovely. I did chuckle when I saw the .57 cents. You said this post is for her, but you entice others to read it with the promotion. Just an observation, my friend. :)

Melissa,
just a clue: my wife is 'my' Girl from Ipanema. And today is her birthday.
Glad others might get joy from the same.

It is bizarre experience; you live in at her fire, flame of which burns for your bride and still her fire burns; well said, well done. Liked and enjoyed the read.
