The end of this reminded me of my flights to and from Sri Lanka with Kuwait Air, another fundamentalist Moslem airline that didn't know the meaning of customer service.

This chapter was highly believable and well-written. It left me wanting more so clearly, you have tailored your post length correctly. Like mine these 'chapters' will bare little relation to any 'chapters' in the evntual published version that i hope you are planning.

Thanks, Jim. There are a few airlines around that I might hesitate to fly with!
As I draw close to the climax of this, I begin to dread the labour of structural editing. I'm impressed by the way you have approached it in yours.

Your Madelaine is fast becoming my Mildred, taking over the top spot in the story! lol. I love her! Such a cheeky lady. I'm wondering if Helen will end the relationship she has with Charles, she did seem to be a bit put out with him suggesting he bring his things over rather than leave them in his leased place. We'll see. Another smooth part, my friend. :)) Sandra xx

Madeleine was never intended to be more than a minor character, but she seems to have taken on a life of her own. I must say, I enjoy writing her part. I wouldn't mind meeting her one day! LOL
Very many thanks for the extra star - always most affirming.
    All good wishes, Tony

Nothing to report. Maybe I'm becoming so engrossed in the story I'm not looking carefully enough.

On a second reading:
What she omitted to tell me was that she also planned to meet with Jeanne, to make arrangements with unimaginable consequences for us both - maybe consider 'arrangements that would have unimaginable consequences for us both'.

Best wishes
Judy

Tony, your narrative voice and descriptive scene play drew me into the chapter as if I personally knew the characters, and for the that matter, somewhat the previous chapters. Excellent imagery and detail. I have no suggestions for improvement.

Good to hear from you, Mary, and thanks very much for your supportive comments and the sixth star. Dear old Madeleine Bisset has taken on a character of her own. I?d like to meet her one day! LOL
    All good wishes, Tony.

This is, again, well written and thoroughly engaging. The section with the Landlady was delightful and very nicely executed - just from the dialog I can clearly visualize what she looks like ad how her voice sounds. The tidbits dropped like regretting taking both passports were strategically placed and I am sure we will see the value of their importance shortly. Well done and thank you very much for sharing it.

Glad you enjoyed another dose of Madeleine Bisset! It?s surprising how some of these minor characters begin to take on a life of their own. I appreciate your comments and review. All good wishes, Tony.

Ah, that's a bit ominous. What the heck does he want now? I sense that the plot is thickening and I'm not sure I like what I'm seeing. A great continuation and I can't wait to what's next. All best. Ulla:))

Tying up loose ends before the true adventure begins, a good idea. Some writers weave complicated plots forgetting that, from time to time, readers need help keeping things straight.
Vivid descriptions as usual from Charles's POV. He's quite the poet isn't he?

You dropped breadcrumbs to help guide us through the forest of events to come. Not sure I like this device. IMO readers should be allowed to draw these conclusions for themselves.
Great write as expected from you. Looking forward to the next chapter.

Blessings Julia

Thanks, Julia. I appreciate your comments. I may have overdone the foreshadowing of future events. I?ll bear that in mind when I reach the stage of a structural edit. All good wishes, Tony.

I don't like Helen. That remark she made about him leaving some things there should have told him a lot. I love the landlady. She sounds like a hoot. There's just enough tension in this chapter to keep me guessing what's going on. Poor Charles. I've always thought he was in over his head.

The last preparations, very nice taletelling and prominent characterization, plot progression is unified and balanced, flight experience truthfully projected; well said, well done. Liked and enjoyed the read. Keep Writing, Inspiring, Changing
