This limerick suite, Those Were the Days, has the general format correct displayed in three stanzas and takes us on a globetrotting pursuit of higher learning. Muy bueno!

Muchas Gracias .

I enjoyed reading this limerick. Great job of writing one about school days. Was that a true story or did you just make something up about learning a new language? Thanks for sharing!

A very well-written poem Limerick trio about fun things in school we will always remember and cherish and sometimes making others laugh about the dumb things we did as kiss.

Nice job - I enjoyed the poems. They read well. At least you tried to learn Spanish - I guess Spain's language differs quite a bit from our Latin American languages.
Good luck with the contest.

Very cute poem. Love the flowage of your words. I think Snickers is a favorite candy bar, too. But who does not like to munch on any candy bar? Your picture expresses boys and girls boarding the school bus; school will resume within a couple weeks here. Where did the summer go to?

I thoroughly enjoyed your limerick suite, but the first one made me howl out loud. That is a superb limerick that beautifully characterizes this teacher, using very well-chosen rhymes. Rod

Oh, yes!! Don't we all have such 'fond' memories -- LOL! :) This is a great offering for the contest -- I must say that moving from the UK to Spain had to really be quite the 'shock' for a teen! ;) :) Thanx for the laughs and the memories and best of luck at the polls! ;)

Thank you for sharing your poem. I did find it humorous. I applaud you for writing in this style. It is not always easy. Good luck in the contest.

A sign of a good limerick is that nice hearty laugh at the end, which you gave me! The description of each character is specific and also stays true to the meter of this type of poem. The language is rich. You challenge yourself with lush words and complex phrasing.
