Your limericks are very well-written and funny. The scenes you have described sound oddly familiar to me--and, I'm sure, would also to others. My sister had a social studies teacher who talked about basketball nearly ALL the time.

Well done for this contest - good luck in the contest. For sure this is a good subject. The classes we took are archaic now. Typing (I did well) but got dinged for having a bobby pin on a spit/curl longside my ear. P.E. - quite another story - did ok - but our teacher was interesting - "hands-on" - grabbing a boy's t-shirt by the collar if he goofed off.
Those were the days.

Certainly your limerick brings back my high school memories. My school did not have a typing class.
Often, the civics teacher was your non traditional one. LOL
Your author's notes are valuable lessons for those born in this century (but likely, not any FS subscribers!).

This one is actually quite funny. I remember every class you mentioned. Was thinking the other day that I used to be able to go up that big thick rope in gym with no issues. Now, my butt would weigh me down lol. Loved this one. Good luck.
