So funny! I was going to say change "eeking" to "eek-ing" just so it doesn't get confused with a misspelled "eking" but either way. Clever illustration fits perfectly. This inspires me to sponsor a pun-filled contest! Super post! Good luck in the contest.

Thanks for your review, Rod. This poem was prompted by the fact I had a rat in my ceiling. There would have been so many during the olden days I guess the ratcatcher's job was secure employment.

Do they still have rat catchers? I hope not. I thought they were something from a Dickens novel. It really would be a horrible job. Good luck in the contest.
