Thanks for your review, Deborah. Initially I had 'see inner beauty', but then decided that 'seek' was the stronger sentiment I wished to express.

Thanks, Mark. I initially had as the last line 'purity of heart' but that sounded cliched and predictable, so I modified it to 'the heart?s purity'.

Such a true statement. We should look for the beauty within ourselves. Far to often we are consumed by the image that stares back at us and let that determine if we are happy or sad.

While it's a good message, it's certainly not a new message, so nothing new is conveyed in the poem. Also, I think it's difficult to really "see inner beauty," as only God really knows what's in someome's heart.
