This trimeric poem, In Kardamili, Greece, has the proper formatting and brings the reader a little idea of the simple and beautiful life of someone in this Greek venue. Nice.

Your well-written, descriptive trimeric vividly describes a lovely home and its surroundings, presenting it as the destination of hard-working fisherman eager to get home to family.

Good poem for this contest - altho (I must review the Trimeric again - i thought the second stanza should start with the second line of the first? Haven't written mine yet - have to review.
Howeve,r I really like your poem - you present such an interesting picture of a different world.

Thank you thank you thank you for pointing out the fix! I had written it down longhand and then forgot to reverse the lines when I typed it on the computer. I will go back and correct that immediately.

This reads beautifully like a 'slice of life' poem where the reader is invited in to experience a page from someone's personal Book of Daily Living. Best wishes in the Trimeric Treat contest.

A very well-written Trimeric poem about the little house surrounded by pink Bougainvillea outside while a simple meal of stew and bread are prepared for when the man comes home.

I've been to Greece and wandered around the islands, from Santorini to Mykonos, Rhodes and the Turkish mainland. That's a snapshot of the simplicity of Greece from those beautifully garlanded trees to the stone houses and the friendly faces, reflected wonderfully in your fine poetic work, well done. Good luck, blessings, Roy

You captures the essence of Greece here even though you have not been, indeed they do have bougainvillea, ripe tomatoes and olives, fishermen rolling up their nets too. I have been to Corfu several times and once spent 3 months there on a sailing boat, it is the most tranquil and earthy place where the micro-climate helps to flavour the fruit and vegetables, I enjoyed your wonderful poem very much, love Dolly x

Thank you very much for your perceptive review! Wow, 3 months on a boat. No seasickness?

You admit you haven't actually been to Greece, but this poem certainly feels like you have (I have been there a couple of times)... it is portrayed in an authentic way: the cottage, the flowers, the fishermen, the family activities, the food. Yum, nice salad, and the simple stew would be called 'stifatho'.

Thank you for your review! Yes, never been to Greece. I will have to look up "stifatho" next.

Stifatho, or stifado, is a delicious Greek stew made with red wine, tomatoes, onions and cinnamon.

Yummy! I am a teetotaler, but I could probably find something to substitute for the red wine.

If you let the wine boil it gets rid of the alcohol content.
