I am dropping by because Pam (respa) recommended your work. I am delighted to find a fantasy lover. Dragons are one of my favorite creatures and this is a delightful abecdarian poem. I can almost feel the air beneath the wings of the dragon and the pleasure it gives to his rider as they soar together through the air.

I keep running into these poems where people use the entire alphabet for one poem and they seem to be doing fine with it/ I'm going to have to try it for myself. Your poem was done with that idea and it is great!

Naming the dragon Xandros after two significant things are outstanding. One the Greek Island offset of Andros and the second, the Linux distribution desktop version of the software. You may have just thought it was a cool name - I don't know - but to me, I bet you knew both! I also love that you used Zephyrs as your Z word - a great word for the whisper and a great whisper in the tale at that! Wow-what a fantastic abecedarian poem! I really loved the story as well as the words but the fact that it was a dragon well it had to be a 6 just because it was a dragon!!! I love dragons!! Adore them actually. Also, I may not get my post out this week because of a set back with another deadline that is looming that popped up out of the blue. I will have more time next week to prepare and I still am working on the $ part of the whole encounter. FYI. I see you won another that I didn't get to applaud! You rock MRW, CQ and Beautiful Teacher. Yvette, you are an inspiration to me that you can do everything else and still crank out the wins!!! Cheers, Fonda

LOL! Shhhhh....I'll never tell if I knew or not...! ;) Wow! What lovely stars and such a cool review --- I do so enjoy hearing from you!! Yes, I must say, that dragons are definitely "up there" on my list of my favorite fantastical critters....
I'm wrapping up the 'week before school' orientations over here and have had just about enough of parents and students...lol! Guess it's a good thing I'm only part-time now, but, hey, I can do this, right? (it's one of those things you just keep repeating to yourself until you believe it....sort of....maybe...LOL!)

Hello Yvette. Congratulations on being able to start each line with a different letter. That's pretty impressive. My poems are all short because I don't know that many letters. The big problem I had was getting Xerox, (Boris) Yeltsin and Zilog in a poem. Oh Well... Z

This is a great example of the abecdarian poem! It tells a story without feeling contrived or awkward, as some entries felt. Vivid imagery and the artwork was a perfect match. I enjoyed this.

Great job. The images are wonderful and creative. The poem flows quite well. There is no choppiness. I was particularly curious about how you would handle X and Z, but you did it really well - maintaining the rhythm without disrupting the meaning.
